I am a new homeowner and I have a question or two! I have two large sugar gum trees in the front of my house on the strip of grass in between the sidewalk and street. I was told that these trees are the city’s property not mine. I am concerned because I have to trim some on the larger branches that overhang my roof and also the roots are bowing the sidewalk out and pushing up the concrete in my basement. If I wanted to service these trees myself do I need a permit or does the city handle these things?

Yellow "CBS" work safety coat lost and now hanging to be claimed on road construction sign by my home. 3449 E. Longview Ave. "Chambers" name is written on the back of the coat. Please retrieve. Not sure if it is a COB staff person's or one of the Greenway contractors. I told one of the contractor staff today where the coat is hanging but it was not retrieved.

Hello, I’m writing to request assistance with picking up a tree that was downed on my property. I have already cut the tree into manageable pieces and placed the debris by the side of the road in front of my yard, ready for pickup. Hi there, I live in an apartment complex in Elm Heights and have a question regarding the street parking on south side of 2nd street between Henderson and Fess where the Elm Heights Bloomingfoods used to be. Currently, the signs state that the parking is 2 hours, which made sense when the building was in use. However, neighborhood parking on the surrounding streets is pretty tight during the majority of weekdays when IU is in session. Unfortunately, there have been times when I have had to make use of these 2 hour spots due to the lack of availability of street parking near my dwelling and have been subsequently ticketed. Is there any specific reason why these spots are still being enforced with a 2 hour limit even though Bloomingfoods went out of business? Is there any way the 2 hour limit could be removed for those that display a neighborhood zone permits until a new tenant is found for the building? I understand that I am responsible for the fees incurred by my violation for this current 2 hour policy, but fail to understand why it is being maintained so aggressively given the fact that the reason for implementing the 2 hour street parking (accessibility for Bloomingfoods customers) is no longer valid. I have always had positive experiences with all members of the Sanitation Department, but this past year, in particular, I have had extremely positives experiences. Not only have the team members been thorough, timely, and respectful, but everyone has been SO friendly! The team doesn't hold back on the smiles, waves, and well-wishes. I cannot say enough positive about the Sanitation team (yard waste, recycling, trash) that comes through the Winslow Farms/Sweetbriar neighborhood.
