I called the Bloomington police department this evening to report a noise complaint (someone in the apartment complex adjacent to mine is playing incredibly loud rap music). I was told by someone on the phone that the noise ordinance in Bloomington does not start until 11 pm, however, section 14.09.030 states that "Sound that is clearly audible to a person with normal hearing from any place other than the premises from which the source of the sound is located, when the sound occurs between the hours of nine p.m. and seven a.m., is prima facie evidence of a violation of this section." The lady was pleasant, and told me that she would send someone over to look into it, but she was convinced that the city of Bloomington's noise ordinance did not go into affect until 11 pm. Might be worth looking into.
Unless GIS is wrong, this is publicly-owned land that provides a valuable intersection between hillside & b-line. My hand-dug canyon is now well-used, trampled to the point where you can cross it on a bike without dismounting. You're welcome
Corner of Hawthorne and Atwater. University property along Hawthorne on both sides (Emeriti house and Math Bldg) have not been shoveled and have been hazardous since Wednesday at least.
This car has been abandoned with a flat tire for months on end on 15th St. close to Walnut.
Hi. On https://bloomington.in.gov/directory the entries under Bloomington Transit are mostly out of date. E.g. Lew May's email address is mayl@bloomingtontransit.com, the phone # is (812) 336-7433, their internet contact is via a form at http://bloomingtontransit.com/contact-us/. Thanks!
At Butler Park 9th St. when sledding down the hill from the restroom/shelter area there is a tree in the middle of the run which creates a hazard. Many children have crashed into the tree. Please respond to discuss. Hoping for the tree to be removed.
