Missing green cover to this post across from Tracks on Kirkwood.
Bent door on sidewalk: foot hazard. This is located between Global Gifts and Atlas Rentals Store on Walnut.
We recently had a tree removed from the spot shown, as well as having a tree trimmed on the other side of our driveway. The tree that was removed was rotted out as it was deemed unsafe. We moved to this location in 2019 with a new baby on the way. Fast forward 2 years and just after the tree was removed by the City of Bloomington, our now 2 y/o plays in front of our house and has now fallen multiple times because of the drop off on the sidewalk due to the tree roots that have lifted the sidewalk. Additionally, small animals have now made this area their home. This is the same problem on the opposite side of our driveway by the electrical boxes due to overgrown root systems of trees that were frankly too large to plant in there specific spots. The lift in the sidewalk from the tree roots has caused a major trip/fall hazards that are at least a 6in drop. Please advise.
Sidewalk on west side, south of Third Street is overgrown and badly needs attention, both curb and verge. Creepy and unpleasant to walk on, and this is a major NW/SE route for bikes and peds. Thank you.
Why has case# 177801 been closed? It has not been resolved. A metal rack for a street sign has been sitting out front of 425 N. Dunn for MONTHS accompanied by sandbags. Also, while you are picking that one up, there is another, LARGER sign and rack that is lying in the shrubs on the property of Plantation North, right across from 418 N. Grant. Please forward this request to the appropriate department ASAP. Thank you.
I am a resident of B-Linr Heights Apartments and I am disabled as is my daughter and quite a few other residents. We use the bus often and love having a bus stop close to the apartments. The problem though is that the bus stop is not handicap accessible. There is a makeshift ramp of sorts that is basically leftover blacktop that is sort of threw there. I know my daughter and myself usually walk alongside the road, there is a bicycle lane, until we reach a lower part of the sidewalk and there we try to lift our rollators to get on the sidewalk. I know there is an elderly man and woman who also take the bus and use mobility aides as well. It is dangerous to walk up the road but when you cannot use the makeshift ramp to access the sidewalk you are limited as to options. I know a few drivers have let us off the bus down at the green trades district sign that is at the road directly across from the apartments. This has helped as the area there is accessable. I don't know if the stop could possibly be moved down to there or if someone could look into fixing the sidewalk alongside Rogers St to make it more handicap accessible, but I do think many of the residents, not just myself, would be very appreciative of it. Thank you for taking this into consideration. We enjoy where we are and taking the bus, we just want to do so a bit safer. Thank you.
Hazardous Trees - north side of Sare between Mill Stone Way and Mill Stone Court. There are two trees leaning/growing over the sidewalk and street. The larger one is leaning on a smaller tree. This likely got this way from the storm at the end of June. I fear that strong winds could topple these trees onto the sidewalk and road. Can the city do something about this danger zone please?
This is being resubmitted because the HOA Board of Directors has noted the issue has not been resolved, as reported via email (screenshot attached). Hazardous sidewalk in front of 2001 S Ramsey Drive in Cameron Row HOA Community. Please repair the sidewalk, or please reach out to me (Kaleen with Mackie Properties) at (812) 287-8036 if there are any issues with doing so, or if further details are required in order to do so. Thank you, we hope you all have a great day!!
The right side of the street has no parking signs that can't be seen and no part of the curb is yellow. Starting at the first house as it curves numerous cars like to park at night on that side going up to spring Street. From the first house up 2 the first stop sign have people. Parking on the no parking side. We've asked them 2 stop, but maybe because this is a dead end street the city hasn't addressed the brush blocking the signs And no yellow curbs. My girlfriend hit a truck parked illegally at night last week. Sorry. To ramble but we need this addressed B4 someone gets hurt/ and or winter gets here
