We're over 1 miles from Bloomington South High School (off South High St), yet every Friday night for the past couple of weeks we've heard the PA system announcing the football games as clear as day. At the following addresses, the clearance space above the sidewalk surface and the bottom of the tree canopy is quite a bit lower than the eight feet stipulated in Section 12.24.040(2) of Bloomington’s Municipal Code.
