ATT came onto my property to install fiber via a utility easement with the city and left my yard damaged per attached photo. ATT said they are not liable for the damage. The installers had stated they would return the following day to level the ground, seed and straw the area. That was over a month ago and they never returned. Who is liable for this property damage? I am prepared to file a claim against whomever that may be. Thanks.
Follow up to report # 211915 Thank you for reviewing my report. I appreciate the time Planning and BPD took to look into my concerns. I understand BPD's explanation that noise from vehicles operating at a business is not something they can cite as an ordinance violation. However, I don't believe that fully addressed the questions raised in my original report. I understand the property dates back to 1980 and that there may not be an approved site plan on file. However, if the intensity or nature of the business's operations has changed significantly since that time—particularly with increased semi-truck traffic, early morning unloading activities, or the regular use of residential neighborhood entrances—I was wondering whether those changes would require any additional review, approvals, or compliance with current zoning or development standards. I also noticed my question regarding truck circulation was not addressed. Specifically, are semi-trucks permitted to routinely access the property through the Broadview neighborhood entrances, or are they expected to use the primary entrance on Country Club Drive? If there is no site plan, is there another document or approval that governs truck access and circulation for the property? I recognize that businesses have a right to operate and that some level of noise is expected. My concern is not with the existence of the business itself, but whether its current operations and traffic patterns remain consistent with applicable City regulations and whether there are reasonable ways to reduce the impact on the surrounding residential neighborhood. I would appreciate any clarification you can provide regarding these questions. Thank you again for your time.
In Green Acres on 7th St from Bryan to Hillsdale and a block south on Hillsdale, there are several addresses which have a combination of trash bins, trash, or furniture still out. Collection is Wednesday.
Academy sports parking lot and adjacent entrance area continues to have various signs out near public road. Additionally, the landscaping is filled with invasives and is dead or missing. This is not what this looked like at opening and is not being maintained.
Loads of trash left over from a drug addict encampment. Been there over two weeks. Don't know if it is on New Hope's property or City property. It's an unsightly and smelly mess. Please either have New Hope clean it up or send a city crew to do it.
The property adjacent to me 922 North orris has a huge tree, that I have tried to get them to maintain for nearly 5 years. A week ago a woman that was at the property said there was a new property manager and she would have him call me. No reply. I am disabled and can no longer continue to trim this tree off of the adjoining sidewalk. The sidewalk goes over to the try North swimming pool. It runs between our properties. This tree is so overgrown it's branches get on my roof onto my property all the way down to the ground covering the sidewalk. If we did not constantly trim this you wouldn't be able to walk down the sidewalk to get to the pool or the school. I am so tired of trying to resolve this, I've told the people that cut the grass every week nearly for two years and nobody's done a damn thing. I'm hoping you can help and find out who needs to trim this back. I believe it's rented to disabled guy who's pretty much a recluse. Thank you
I earlier requested a visit to check the condition of the tree whose branches fell on the street and sidewalk on July 11 (case number 212545). I replied to an email from Haskell asking for our address but realized it's from [email protected]. In case my reply didn't reach him, I am reporting it again here with our address.
Jamie Ward 812-512-5473 3789 E McCracken way apt 8 Bloomington Indiana I bought a brand new washer and dryer from Lowe’s just a couple of months ago. My dryer started making a really loud noise yesterday and a red light came on. When I googled with the light it said exhaust./duct issue. I called Samsung to ask them to come and look at my dryer because it’s still under warranty and they asked me has anyone cleaned the dryer duct/ vent outback? I said that I had not I can’t even get to it. I don’t have a letter that tall and I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m not sure if Maintenance had or not they said that they would not send anyone to fix the dryer until the duct was cleaned out. I contacted office management. Who then informed me that she tried to get the owner to have Maintenance to come fix it but he declined. I have a two year-old and a three year-old not only do I need a dryer, but there’s obviously an issue../fire hazard!
