Hi! It's been long enough since I worked for the City that I can no longer remember whether this is a signal that the state or the city controls, so please let me know if I need to talk to the state instead. I am a parent of a North High School student, but we're districted in South, so we carpool every day to school and back. I noticed today that the signal at 46 and Kinser Pike doesn't stay green very long for the cars on Kinser. Normally, that makes total sense. However, I'm wondering if, during that pick up time in the afternoon when traffic backs up down Kinser Pike, the timing of the light could change to allow for more cars to get through that intersection. It would be so lovely if that were possible. It's a pretty small window, starting with when the school buses leave North, probably around 2:50 or so, and maybe going for 20 minutes after that? College Mall Rd and Covenanter, when going through at 6:20am driving down College Mall Rd the light turns red and stays red when no traffic is coming on Covenanter. Now the turn arrow comes on for the southbound lane- again with no traffic. Please make this stay green for the heavily traveled College Mall Rd and triggered for Covenanter traffic.

The traffic light timing at this intersection is completely off. Adams N/S gets a significant amount of time, even when no traffic is coming, causing backups on 2nd street in both directions. Watch 2 cycles and you'll see it's off.

The traffic signal at Bryan St at the intersection with 3rd and High Streets is not working properly. It does not cycle to green in sequence with the other streets unless the front car pulls forward into the crosswalk. This creates an unsafe situation for both pedestrians and drivers. Please fix the light so that it cycles properly with the signals for the other streets. Thank you.

Either the person that sets the signaling for the traffic lights in the city of Bloomington is either the most incompetent idiot on the planet or is the biggest joke over there how you guys have the traffic lights signals so you literally have to stop at every light all over town even during rush hour you guys have multiple lights signaling turn red so you guys have people stopping in the middle of the intersection because they don't want to get stuck by five lights in a row I've sent multiple emails to you guys so have coworkers and other people that I know in the city what are you guys fix the lights over 69 on the west side all through Walnut Street it's like that I just came down 2nd Street you literally had car sitting in the intersection because they didn't want to get stuck by multiple lights in a row

At the intersection of E 3rd St & Hillsdale to the north & Woodscrest to the south, the traffic light is disproportionately lengthy for the traffic traveling on Hillsdale/Woodscrest. The majority of the traffic goes east/west on E 3rd St., yet the light stays red/green for an excessive amount of time relative to the traffic that passes in the respective directions.

This would be my fifth email to you guys and it would also be number six in the times that I've been almost hit rear-ended because people are trying to race through the lights over on West 3rd Street around Eastland plaza . Since you guys have decided to set the signaling for the lights so once one light goes green and you travel to the next light that's just invisible sight it turns red so you have to stop again but if you guys got out of the office come over here and you can actually see what a mess you're creating all over town it's like this. There's zero logic behind this I can understand the lights through downtown making you slow down but we're not downtown nor are the other lights throughout the city that you guys have set up like this I hope one of your cars get hit and then maybe you douchebags will come fix it

So I've talked to you guys before about this issue how you guys have the timing for the traffic lights set up and of course you know you guys basically said all their set correctly but here's the issue all over town and multiple times a day I have to travel various places in town for my job. And you guys have the signaling set up to where you come to a stop at one red light and it goes green and the very second you arrived the next stoplight doing the speed limit it turns red it's really bad on West 3rd Street but specifically the portion of town that I have to drive through half dozen times a day from Miller Street to 2nd Street you literally have to stop every single traffic light because you guys have set the traffic signaling to make you stop at the red light. Having lived a lot of different places this is something that's very unique to Bloomington you know I'm sure you're going to tell me that's the way it's supposed to be which in turn means that you just wanted to turn people from driving but it's straight bullshit on a busy road like that that northbound traffic or southbound traffic you guys have it set that way West 3rd Street you literally have people having to stop in the intersection because you guys want to play games!! Yeah it's funny because when I called the mayor's office they acknowledged that the timings were messed up but said they would defer to you people
