The utility manhole covers in the Northbouand lane of Walnut Street from Miller Drive to Grimes are below the pavement level and need to be raised to pavement lever. This condition has existed since Walnut Street was re-paved years ago. Please fix. Thank you
Drainage ditch near the street in front of my residence has developed deep holes over the past several decades that I have attempted to fill continuously wash out. Could there possibly be in break in the water main? Thank you for looking into this matter.
Since the street was repaved our garage has flooded 3 times in the past year due to runoff coming d9wn our driveway and over our yard. We tried to dig a relief ditch but this is more difficult and the flooding is due to the fill in of the original ditch in the easement and the fact that the culvert under the driveway is now clogged with roots and dirt. I need the ditch dug properly. Also, your department fixed a brok3n main last winter and did not fill in the hole left by the repair.
I don't have a current photo but particularly since the utility work completed on this stretch of road the parking spots in front of the shops flood and hold water. The gradient actually seems to slope away from the drain instead of towards. As a result, we frequently have to bail out the parking spots to make them usable for customers. Flooding issues include the accessible parking spot, which poses a risk to the mobility impaired. How can we best collaborate on a solution? Thanks!
A few minutes ago, a white dump truck without City emblems stopped in front of my house. Two men got out and shoveled the leaves from the drain in front of my house and across the street into the drains. I thought we weren’t supposed to put leaves in the drain. The drain in front of my house is my adopt-a-drain, so it didn't have many leaves but the one across the street had more.
We had a sewer blockage today. The plumber sent a camera through the sewer pipe and discovered that the fiber optic crew had pierced our sewer line, causing the back up.
Hello. There is a dual drainage grate system in the middle of Blair Ave just before W 12th Court heading North. It looks as if the grates are sinking and are going to fall into the hole under them. There is major damage and erosion of the structural integrity of the cement and asphalt surrounding the grates and across the entire street. There is exposed metal bars that drivers swerve to miss to protect their cars putting humans and parked vehicles at risk. Can you please help? Thank you for all that you do!
Once again the storm sewer drains in front of my house and across the street are clogged with debris. I do my share of keeping the drains free, but I think it is also incumbent upon the City of do its share. Keep in mind that it is now yet the season when falling leaves block drains and before the area between the street and sidewalk are dug up again to have more broadband fiber laid.
Dear Madam/Sir, I am writing to report an issue concerning the curb and storm drain located at the southern end of Stratford Dr, in front of our residence (3020 S Stratford Dr, Bloomington IN, 47401). The curb is currently obstructed by leaves, twigs, and organic sediment (as shown in the attached photo), impeding effective drainage during rainfall. As a result, our front yard experiences flooding with every rain shower. We kindly request that the curb and its immediate surroundings be thoroughly cleaned to restore proper drainage functionality. The ditch between my driveway and the adjoining driveway is clogged with dirt and debris that I want removed. I can do it, but I don't want to encroach on a neighbor's land or the City of Bloomington land without permission. the ditch is not on the pavement but may lie within the City's right-of-way, and I may need your permission or guidance to clear the drainage ditch and empty the culvert underneath my driveway. Is University Street an easement or a fee title? We also have a dead ash tree a yard from the pavement on the lot line, probably due to the Asian emerald ash borer, an invasive pest, and I have other live ash trees that I would protect. What are the rules for removing the hazard tree?
