Hi, I work in a commercial building at 800 S College. Our building was recently sold to Storage Express and they have proven to be negligent in terms of snow removal. They have failed to clear our whole lot these past two weeks (leaving not enough cleared spaces for our business needs) and I have now had to twice dig out our one handicapped parking space by hand. We have addressed this with them in person and they were not responsive to our concerns. We are responsible for clearing our immediate walkway, but they are responsible for lot clearing and maintenance as per our lease. Our building is almost entirely service professions (massage, salon, barbers), and we have many older clients and folks with mobility issues and it is becoming a safety hazard. I am aware HAND handles residential citations, but am unaware of the proper channel (if any) for commercial properties. Would gladly accept any assistance. Thanks so much!

Hello, I am not sure if I am in the right place or not, but we just moved to a new edition called Charlestowne Manor. A plumber on our road was found unresponsive in his car and is still unresponsive. The dispatchers did not know where we were because Triple Crown Drive is NOT on the map. If the dispatchers had known where we were located (the Ellettsville Fire Station is LITERALLY across the street and the guys could have ran there faster than they got there) the guy might have a better chance of survival. How do we get on the map?

Help me understand why the library is still closed down (for the most part) surrounding public libraries are open plus Marion county where you can physically walk in the building how is it that something that's funded by taxpayers they can just stay in there pull a paycheck and it's just okay.

Hello. We recently moved to Bloomington as were told it was LGBT friendly. Does the City have a webpage of what Pride Month activities it is sponsoring? I haven't heard anything and am disappointed. I know it's crazy this year but it's still Pride. Thank you!

Do you are you hospital being built in Bloomington is putting its workers, their families and your city at risk every single day! They have no program in place to stop the virus from bringing brought on to their campus. They have no social distancing. They can’t keep hand sanitizer in the handwashing stations at the Porta Johns. For a while they had someone who was urinating in the hand sanitizer bottles after emptying them on a daily basis. Now they just steal them. There are 450+ people that come in to that job site on a daily basis from all over Indiana Kentucky Ohio Tennessee and they all are scared and you know that it is just a matter of time until one of them or more brings that virus into the community. Not only is it going to spread like wild fire through the worksite, it will spread through your community because they get gas and groceries and drive through and they interact all throughout your community. Are you health does not care about these workers or their safety. My significant other is a manager out there and does not have the choice to just walk away. The heartbreak that I see on a daily basis because of the worry is cement. Tonight we spent sucking washcloths both the dollar general and bleach and putting them in baggies so that there would be a way for all the workers to wipe down surfaces and have something to wipe their hands with to sanitize them. That’s the little bit that we are doing to try to keep them safe because are you help isn’t. We have been waiting for their plan for over a month on what they are going to do and we are still waiting! Please force them to shut that worksite down for a couple of months until this spike is over! Save our families save your community and save thousands of lives in the process through not having it spread through yours or dozens of other communities that these people go home to. PLEASE I’m begging you for help. This is life and death. I’m not ready to lose my mate yet. It’s not fair to have to make a choice between a lifetime career and the life of your family. I’m terrified that it’s going to come into my life...my home and take everything I love. Or maybe it’ll take me. And for what? A building that isn’t going to be done for 16 months!? Maybe if it was going to be done in a month I could see it. If there was a chance that it could be done and help to save lives but it won’t. There is no way that it can help with this battle so don’t make it make this any worse please! Thank you for your time and consideration. My friend, who uses a wheelchair for mobility, and I went to the Office Lounge on Saturday night. While the building is accessible the bathrooms are not. The door was not wide enough for him to enter and he has a small manual chair. A larger motorized wheelchair would not fit either. The manager apologized and offered to clear the women's bathroom, but he had already looked at the door and determined it was not wide enough either. Besides that, I don't think offering another genders bathroom would count as accessibility? I know the OL has been around a long time and I assume there is some grandfathering of pre-accessibility guidelines, but at some point don't they have to come "up to code"? Is that only if they do renovations? How long can they remain un-accessible? I hope there is someone who can address this issue because we would like to be able to visit the OL again, but will not if he can't use the restroom while there. Thank you for your help!

B-Town Diner at 211 N. College allows it's employees and guests to freely use electronic smoking devices in it's establishment, despite the health inspector specifically instructing the owner and management that this was not allowed. Employees have also allowed and encouraged a minor employee (under the age of eighteen) to engage in this practice. There have been complaints to the owner and management but these have been ignored or flatly dismissed. These devices are in frequent use by wait staff as well as kitchen staff.

downtown on the square, in front of the "tap" nightclub (across from chase bank), today i noticed that there isn't enough room between a bike at a bike rack there and the outdoor enclosure for tables at the tap. there might be enough room for a regular wheelchair to get thru, but not a large wheelchair. and i am referring to someone who would be passing by there (not going to the tap). even though i am not in a wheelchair, that's what it looks like, so someone might want to measure the area there for a.d.a. compliance, please. thanks
