Hi - there is a mosquito infestation in the woods between Oaklawn park & meadowcreek. I can see the trail from backyard. There was a cloud of mosquitos. It is a wildlife sanctuary there are what I believe rare birds I do not want it cut down but I want an arborist/ ecologist to assess if pine forests naturally have 2 feet of weeds, vines, underbrush. I googled misquote habitat & it says this exactly. Does the city own this easement ( trail)? If not - is it in city limits & issue a citation? I looked on city website there is a line here so I don’t know if the woods is on city or county side. There is a new disease in America , EEE, that mosquitos carry and it can be fatal or cause seizures. I know Mother Nature does their landscaping. The recently removed Wapahani lake has produced a new washout problem; and I’m also concerned that a similar problem is going to happen to the remaining lake of the old twin lakes of years past. I’m not sure why people think removing a large body of water is the best answer for alleviating water issues. Anyway, before I digress further. I know the city/county are well aware that something permanent will need to be done. My hopes are that a well thought out plan will be considered

I have a very old soft maple tree in my front yard. I would like to have it pruned but am unsure of who's responsibility it is for 2 reasons: 1 being there are major power lines that are resting on the limbs (close to the trunk of the tree) and 2, I believe the tree is located within 6 ft of the city street and was told that the city owns the 6 foot easement between streets and properties? I would like to have it pruned evenly because of tree's age and weight distribution. Could someone contact me about this?

Last year I was in contact with Lee Huss via uReport about a tree that needed to be planted (to replace one that died and was removed) in the tree plot by the sidewalk outside 715 West 13th Street. He said he would take care of it this spring. I want to make sure I am still on his radar. Thanks.

The City of Bloomington removed a tree approximately three years ago at the corner of Lincoln and 7th St. We would like to know if the City can plant another tree in that mow strip along 7th Street where the City had removed the tree.

Tree branches have gotten so long they are hanging in the roadway. All through Sweetbriar neighborhood. Cars have to veer out of lane to avoid. High profile vehicles are breaking branches out of the trees. Trees need to be trimmed back so we can drive.
