Dear Sir or Madam: My wife and I own Shean Properties Ltd. and the property at 1114 North College Avenue in Bloomington. Directly to the north of our building is 1116 North College Avenue which is owned by Robert Grabbe. His home has been a mess since we acquired this property in 1994. I believe that Mr. Grabbe has abandoned the building. The postal carrier has told us that homeless people are living inside. The lawn has not been cut in months and I haven’t seen Mr. Grabbe in 3 months. It is time for the City to exercise its authority under the Unsafe Building Law and remedy this situation. At the very least the grass should be cut and the broken windows boarded up. Thanks, John John H. Shean, Esq. SHEAN LAW OFFICES, P.C. 1114 N. The property 616 N Plymouth Rd has not been occupied for many years. (We have lived at our current address for over 19 years.) While the grass is mowed, there is now a dead tree on the side of the property that periodically falls into Beacon Ct after storms. In addition, there is a broken window in the front and evidence of animals inside. The entire property is slowly decaying and is becoming quite an eyesore.
Sycamore Neighborhood indicated concerns with this property. Resource Specialist Presslaff indicated the property being vacant but several unlocked and opened doors.
trash allowed to collect on the border of neighbor's property, including their yard.

trash in driveway
trash has been piling up at the property at the northeast corner of washington and hillside. there is a row of hoosier disposal collection cans overflowing. it has been at least 3 weeks since they were emptied. they are hidden from street view behind a row of evergreens but i'm afraid it will attract vermin. i know the landlord has recently passed.
