Dr. Smith's office called and said the trash in the alley behind his office is bad -- large items such as mattresses are being dumped by the tenants in the apts.
SEWER ODOR IN OFFICE, SENT 718 TO CHECK AND TALK TO CUSTOMER.
MARTIN STATED THAT IN HER NEIGHBOR'S BACKYARD THERE IS A PIPE COVERING OF SOME TYPE (SHE WAS THINKING MANHOLE). THE GROUND IS STARTING TO ERODE AROUND THE OPENING. THE HOLE IS FORMING BETWEEN HER CHAIN LINK FENCE AND THE OPENING. THE FENCE POST IS STARTING TO SINK. MARTIN FEELS THAT THIS AREA IS A SINKHOLE. PLEASE CALL BEFORE COMING OUT.
Mr. Tarter had info. to pass on to a detective reg. a crime and says the dispatch office was rude to him when he was trying to help. Tarter continued to call and put through to the same recording and says after the third time the dispatcher, who refused to give his name, called him an "idiot." Tarter then wanted to speak to the dispatch supervisor who denied that the rude behavior took place and told him he would have to speak with Chief Kennedy.
Ms. Harris called our office on 1/26 complaining that her children were almost hit by a bus (bus #4, driver Glenn). She also complained that she was called the "n" word (which is a derogatory statement for an African American) by the bus driver), after she wanted to get off and he wouldn't open the doors for her and her children to get off the bus. She had stated that she was "very upset" by the service and names she was called by this bus driver.
Mr. Rogers is "disgusted" with BPD. He was arrested 4/14/99 & is unhappy with excessive force used & the way he's been treated by dept. since. He's made consistent requests for his police rpt. ever since his court date. Everyone he came into contact w/ at BPD has not been helpful. He wants to know what can be done. (I offered him option of filing a "internal compliant w/ COB PD" form. He accepted and is supposed to come by office to pick up forms.) *(# above is a pager)
Mr. McGuigan is concerned with the Banneker Center. He thinks that this situation he becoming very racial. He feels that the MAYOR OFFICE SHOULD BE MORE ACTIVE ABOUT THE SITUATION.
Caller spoke w/county highway superintendent's office about getting Wapehani Lane paved or chipped/sealed. It was chipped & sealed by the county 1-2 years ago. Caller was told that the City is responsible for this raod by someone at the county highway superintendent's office. Dust from road is bothering caller's parents, the Johnson family, and killing vegetation.
