Lisa Merchant 502.939.6538 called to express concern about homeless/transient population on Kirkwood becoming more assertive and aggressive. Daughter (rising IU junior) works at Pitaya and is approached daily, including being asked outright for her take-out food container yesterday. Lisa called BPD and was told that police hands are tied due to the city's stance on the issue. She said she worries that her daughter will be unsafe while walking to her car after work once it gets dark earlier, and suggests that a reserve BPD officer be available to "walk girls to their cars" after sundown. Just wants to be added to the broader list of concerns about city homeless.

Resident called in to complain about parking on Diamond St. next to the Opportunity House. She is concerned that since parking is allowed on one side, the other lane is not large enough to provide access to emergency vehicles, especially with the new Habitat for Humanity neighborhood nearby. Does this reference case #155817?
Very disgruntled resident of condo community bordering Clarizz Blvd just called referring back to what I assume is case #155817. He said he called Streets Dept two days ago to report that the east side of Clarizz hadn't been mowed for weeks. He wanted to report to the mayor the "very rough job that can barely be considered mowing -- it still looks like a hay field. This is NOT Bloomington. I expect this will be taken care of and if not appropriately dealt with then I will go to the H-T." Could the mowing job be checked, please? Thanks for your help.
