Thank you Mayor Kruzan! I know you are a 'good guy' as you have helped me with a problem before. Please do not allow a low-barrier homeless shelter. And do keep them out of the garages, etc. I truly believe they will return to where they came from without so many amenities in Bloomington.
Drilling on South Walnut Street has been on-going since 6:30 AM on 06/25/2018. The drilling had stopped around 6:00 - 7:00 PM prior to this date. Now we find out from the Bloomington Police Department that the contractors have obtained a "Variance" to continue drilling non-stop through the night. This is Unacceptable! What good does it do to have noise ordinances if they are not enforced? This IS also a residential area! What happened to working 10 hour days 6 days a week? This is not just a noise issue. The drilling also shakes the foundations of the houses! Do the residents of South Walnut Street not have the right to a period of time to sleep?!!!! This is Wrong!
This Devta in the Mayor's office - testing to see who this issue goes to first when a user selects the "miscellaneous" category and the "other" department. Comment concerning public input on projects and surveys Greetings! I was wondering if it would be possible to have a page on the city's site that conglomerates all public input for surveys and city projects? During 2020 there were/are several surveys (MPTO, Climate change, etc.) and projects for public input (hospital site, 7-line, etc.). My thought is that it would be convenient for the public if there was a link on "https://bloomington.in.gov" web page that links to a web page that has all active surveys and city projects that are taking public input. The mulching "pilot" confuses me. Several people I know participating have always mulched. So how is this a pilot? I'm happy to sign up to say that I mulch, as I do, but getting people who already mulch to say they like mulching and they were part of a pilot just isn't true? Amy I supposed to sign up? Or just folks who want to try mulching instead of bagging leaves for the first time?
The city giving a "prize" for the mulching competition of an opportunity to buy a subscription service to a for profit company that proudly partners with anti LGBT chik fil a is messed up. Rethink your plan.

This specific incident involved a Lime scooter, but I urge you to please ban ALL motorized scooters from Bloomington. My family and I were just coming back from the airport yesterday when we saw a young woman collide head-first into a car in cross-traffic (without a helmet because of course, none of these scooters come with helmets) because her brake stopped working. This was no one's fault but the manufacturers'. But given how much they make, I'm doubtful much will come out of it if she were to take legal action. There have been so many accidents (some fatal, as you know) in so many cities, including ours, due to these companies dumping scooter after scooter onto seemingly every busy sidewalk, and it is completely within your control to ban them here--after all, Indianapolis did. I would like to know your reasons for allowing them to continue to be used in Bloomington when we know how dangerous they have and will continue to be, as long as they are on the streets.. Just how many more accidents must we see and hear about until something concrete is done?
