There is a drain on my front lawn that does not appear to be working properly. In recent rains and snow there is a great deal of water flooding the front of the lawn and takes several days to go away. It pools over the drain. It did not use to do this. Please contact me. Thank you.
Extremely strong Sewer smell, worse at night. Every night I drive through this area and am sick to my stomach for hours afterward. It has been like this for years. Something needs to be done to fix this issue.
The fire hydrant at the corner of Maxwell and Short Street (at the co-housing community) is pouring a lot of water.
Part of the Sheridan Creek drainage ditch has eroded or crumbled with asphalt breaking off and going who knows where. The problem areas that seem to need at least spot repaving are at the front of part of 1340 E Sheridan and the Sheridan part of 1000 S Jordan Ave
Good Morning, I called on Saturday night and spoke to someone, did not get their name, via the emergency number. He recommended I contact CBU on monday but I did not get to it until this morning. Situation is this: 6:15pm - My son and friend are playing near the creek/drainage ditch between Elliston Drive and E Dunstan. All of a sudden a big wash of water comes running down the ditch and proceeded to run for about 2 hours. Could be 3-6" deep roughly, best estimate. I called in and gentleman I spoke with asked that I take a video, which I did and can provide. I traced it back to a culvert outlet which was coming from Allendale. Looked in the inlets on Allendale and could see water was coming from the north and S. Dunstan. I walked up and could see evidence of water dripping from a truck (similar to the drips off the garbage truck). The drip path got bigger and wider until I saw water spill surrounding the top of a manhole in the middle of S. Dunstan at the dead end. I did also notice that there is a storm pond that was half full of water in the Acadia Court apartments. I do not recall enough recent rain to have filled that pond but it looked almost recently drained but hard to say. That's the story. I wanted to report because it seemed an odd time and weather for this to be happening. The water seemed odorless and in hindsight I wish I had got a sample. There may still be some pools with water if you want to investigate. The attached map shows the rough path and the smaller circle to the north is the manhole and the larger the detention pond behind the apartments. The smaller circle to the south is the culvert pipe outlet.

The sidewalks on the west side of rogers just south of Bloomington Iron & Metal (about 9th street) flood when it rains. A stream flows out of BIM at the south side of their driveway, across the driveway cut for the gym, and then across both driveway cuts for the big one world parking lot. When it is raining hard, there is no way to traverse the gym driveway without standing in 3+ inches of water. Did you know BIM is a superfund site?
Other: From E. 3rd street entrance to Park Ridge addition, there is a significant slope of the street to the west side creating pooling of rainwater and debris. The continued presence of water/mud/debris has caused breakdown and potholes in the pavement. These potholes are "patched" periodically, but quickly erode again due to the inadequate drainage system. The nearest storm drain is approx. 1/2 block north on the east side of the street -the slope of the road on the opposite side of the storm drain. I have added pictures to show the issues directly in front of my house, however, the same conditions exist along the entire block. From my understanding, the road was to be resurfaced this past summer. I have concerns if the street drainage issue is not addressed prior to this, there will be continued problems. There is to be a new city bus route beginning soon which will have the buses traveling this portion of the road several times a day and will most likely factor in to creating more problems with the pavement. Sanitary sewer junction leaking raw sewage into the environment in the Lower Cascades Park.
Water is gushing down Mitchell this morning--given the falling snow, I couldn't see the source but it was a few inches deep and starting to extend to Mitchell and 2nd St.
