Water fountain issue - Sherwood Oaks Park, by tennis courts:
Would it be possible to get the water fountain pressure adjusted so that the water flow is correct? Right now, the pressure is so low/insufficient, you literally would have to put your mouth over the spigot to get any water out of it.
Thank you!

I am concerned by the lack of arrests during an attempted lunching with multiple witnesses which was filmed on camera. It is only by the grace of God and the community that this man was not killed in front of several minors. The police officers failed to arrest these white supremacist terrorists and protect the citizens of Indiana from further harm. When people call to defund the police, these are the incidents in their mind. The police did nothing to keep this man or Indiana safer. Only the actions of a few concerned citizens prevented a lynching in your state in 2020.
These police officers should be suspended without pay and these men need to be arrested.

Was harassed in Kroger parking lot by people from seminary park. Asked for money, when I said no they aggressively tried to follow me. I had to run to my car to leave. Very unsafe area for Bloomington residents.

Every since the parks department allowed tents at seminary park throughout the day there are increasingly large numbers of people not social distancing without mask in a small confined space. They are then dispersing throughout the community (Kroger, shalom, rally’s, etc...), once again not wearing mask. This is not what the CDC means when they say not to tear down homeless communities. It’s to prevent them spreading disease. Our homeless community still socializes without regard to others in the community and therefore not breaking up that tent camp is irrelevant to what the CDC recommends.
Also there are tons of laws being broke at seminary park every day. The park is filled with trash, used needles, and feces just to name a few problems. Litter is blowing everywhere in the surrounding area.
The law and rules apply to everyone in the community. Please hold everybody accountable!
Failure to do so will impact Bloomington’s economy and slow the recovery through this pandemic.

Hello - I wanted to ask if the city could do a better job decorating for Christmas this year. We moved up from Florida last year and was very surprised that there was no Christmas tree in the city center, and meager decorations -- just some strings of white lights on the courthouse. It didn't feel festive or beautiful or special. It's important, maybe not for students, but for families, older people and also business owners, I would think, to have a festive, Christmas-y and beautiful downtown. Please, Bloomington, put up a big Christmas tree this year on or around the courthouse square, and have a special lighting ceremony, with Christmas and holiday music. And do Christmas decorations on the lamp posts on Kirkwood, and maybe string lights over the avenue (like in the photo attached here, of Clematis Street in West Palm Beach). It's these things that make a town really wonderful. Or not. Thank you, Margaret Menge

The Commission on the Status of Children and Youth states it has a vacancy, but that is incorrect. Allen Bell is the commissioner who was just appointed to the commission, please add Allen, thanks.

Your homeless people problem within the city of Bloomington is out of control. It is ruining the city an it's image. Even Inpls TV news is bashing the city for it's pathetic attempt at dealing with the issue. People feel unsafe as do local students. Who gets the blame when something terrible does occur? The mayor's office has certainly known of this problem for quite some time now. It will be the mayor's office having to answer the questions of the victims whenever something does occur. Fix it. The people of Bloomington deserve better.

I have been visiting Bloomington frequently for the last 4 years and have never seen such awful behavior on the streets downtown. We strolled around after dinner and in every block there were people drinking from alcohol containers and dealing and doing drugs, in front of our eyes. Sad state of affairs, especially in Kirkwood and its corners. Not a single patrol car in the area while we were there. I called the police dispatch to let them know and the cop that answer acknowledged there is a problem but sounded indifferent and was kind of rude. Im not a resident but I am surely not coming back to the business in the area, unsafe for the community, its visitors and a threat to the city's youth.

Why is this being allowed? This is really disgusting. Advertising for having underage girls. It is sad that while we already have issues in the sexual assault realm that we are providing an environment for predators in the midst of the bar scene. Money seems to solve all issues.
