Seriously City of Bloomington ? You've put in meters and on top of 25cents an hour and parking ticket REVENUE, you are also requiring the user / city resident / visitor to pay YOUR credit card transaction fee. Really ? Please name me one downtown merchant that requires the customer to pay this fee. Ridiculous. I will be shopping / eating / recreating elsewhere. Not downtown Bloomington.
Good luck to you and your soon to be very irate merchants / downtown business owners.

I'm not trying to appeal a ticket, but I do have a question. I received a parking ticket today because I did not properly use the meter which I should have. That was my fault, I admit. However, I took a quick look at the meter, and for some reason, it said "expires at 1:30 pm" or something like that. Do previous cars' allotted times continue even when the next person parks, and does the next person parking need to somehow stop the time and then start another session, or something like that? Just curious.
Secondly, as I wrote in a comment that I realize was directed to the "other" and "public works" section of this site rather than parking, I would like to apologize again for a nasty, profane complaint letter that I included in the envelope I used to pay my parking ticket. I wrote the letter essentially in the heat of the moment, and did not mean anything I wrote at all. You may not have received the envelope yet, but it was poorly written, so please disregard it. I have a much higher view of the city than what the letter indicates and take full responsibility for today's parking situation.

Swiped card and meter gave me 7 hours of time. Could only increase, not decrease. Cancelled. Tried again with same result. Display read 9 hours, but charged only for 2. Weird.

I am hoping that i can be credited for my lack of action manually deactivating my parking session. I love the app and convenience of using the app for parking. However, the new pricing model requiring a stop action tripped me up...and I think it is more difficult and not as user friendly. I only parked for 30 minutes ..however, I was charged for the entire day:

Hi,
I live just East of Woodlawn, and everyday I notice cars that are parked on 13th and 14th Street that do not have parking permits. Almost everyday there is a car parked on 14th, that is inches from the intersection of 14th and Forrest, which makes it absolutely impossible to see whether there is a car coming. Along 13th, there is always a long line of cars parked that makes it very difficult to see oncoming traffic. It would be one thing if these cars were supposed to be parking here, but they are not. Most of them, I see park here in the morning and walk to class, because they live far away and have realized that you are not enforcing parking permits in this area due to construction. Most, if not all of the construction workers park in an the grass, so all of the other cars are not theirs.
I (and everyone who lives around here) would really appreciate it if you could come check it out once in awhile.
Thanks!
