Please replace the shade structure top before next week's 100 degrees. It was bad enough not having it last week during 90 degree and full sun. Many families and summer camps rely on this playground and the picnic tables as their home base.
Trash and abandoned personal possessions all around seminary park including sculpture at 2nd and college.
Where did all the shade go? Happy Summer Solstice! We thought Townies needed more sun in their lives so we removed all the shade sails at all the parks and ball fields. Thanks for looking out for us parks!
Seminary parks is full of trash, abandoned personal possessions, and stolen shopping carts from local merchants. This area has progressively went downhill in the last months. Needs cleaned up and monitored mutiple times daily. People using park are breaking multiple laws every day. (Drug and alcohol use in public, public nuisance, fighting, littering, stolen property, camping and staying there after hrs, etc)
Around 8:45 this morning, I encountered a strong stench coming from the woods to the west of the B-Line Trail in Switchyard park between lampposts 20 and 21. It smelled like rotting flesh. Could someone please investigate to make sure it isn't a hazard or concern?
The grass and weeds have not been cut for several weeks. The trash has been bagged up but not removed. I picked up trash from the playground. some of it had been there for some time. Please pay more attention to this small neighborhood park!
The drainage issue near the water station is getting swampy in the big dog area. Removal of the plastic pools may help until the standing water can be renediated.
End cap on pickleball post is broken in half and needs replaced. A net is falling apart and needs repaced, Courts are cracking badly after only one year.
We have seen a few people frequently using the tennis court at Sherwood Oaks Park for soccer. They would practice shooting soccer ball against the tennis wall and court fences. Those structures are damaged because they are not designed to withhold such strong impact. Please consider putting a sign to warn against similar activities. Thank you!
