The raised traction on the boardwalks in Bryan park is too tall and poses a trip hazard. In addition, there is a small section near the east end of the boardwalk by the adult fitness equipment that is warped so that it is sticking up more than the rest. It's subtle, but it's problematic. Several people who saw me trip on it today said they had struggled on the same spot earlier today or earlier in the week.
Every Saturday, a group of basketball players bring in an amplifier to the gym and blast music which contains offensive language. Several people have complained to front desk personnel, asking them to tell the players to turn the music down, which can be heard everywhere on the main floor of the facility. Unfortunately, no TLRC facility staff members have been able to do anything about this issue. Children are subjected to songs which include the words "f*ck" "rape" "n*gger" etc. Because nothing had been done about it by the staff, someone approached a member of the basketball group and politely asked them if they could turn the music down. A member of the group verbally assaulted and intimidated the person causing the person to leave the facility because they were so upset and felt threatened by the response of the basketball player. I would like to ask if a rule could be added to the facility that no one is to play personal music that can be heard by others while inside the TLRC. Thank you for your consideration of this request. I have been a member for several years and know people who use the TLRC frequently. When I am there on Saturdays, many people complain but no one says anything for fear of retaliation or lack of action by staff. Thank you very much for your consideration of our request.
Encampment of homeless people has started cutting down large live trees on the east side of the beeline Trail parallel to the retention pond.
Along the southern edge of South East park there is a brambly thorn bush that is over hanging the sidewalk. Could it please be trimmed back off the sidewalk so pedestrians are scratched by the thorns? I think the best way to describe the location would the edge of the park nearest the house at 1811 S Montclair.

Can the city do something about the very large homeless encampments on both sides of switchyard park - B-Line trail near the dog parks. I like to bring my dogs to the dog park, but am uncomfortable with such a big encampment of homeless so close to the park and the kids play grounds as well. There’s a lot of trash blowing around on at both encampments and this afternoon they had open “camp” fires burning. As a single women with my dogs, I have to say I’m very uncomfortable walking my dogs on the B-line in Switchyard park and using the dog park with so many homeless camping in the immediate area of Switchyard park. In response to uReport 187125: The response from the City said, "the majority of these issues are taking place on private property." Based on the location of the camps I was referring to, just north of Gordon Pike and to the east of the Rail Trail and east of the parallel gravel road, these are located on City-owned property. An image from the GIS showing the property owners of record for the parcels and the general area of the camps is attached. The City need not work with any private landowners to clean this up. It is City property being used to make the trail unsafe for everyone. Clear this activity out so it can make the secluded, wooded trail safer for all users. Thanks.
