Cross Walk on 10th Street in front of Kelley. The city and IU buses use the bus lanes in front of the library, past the crosswalk. The private apartment buses have turned the crosswalk into a bus stop. The students wait there. A bus pulls up, stops to load/unload. Pedestrians wanting to cross are blocked and back up. East-bound cars are backed up. The bus will sometimes wait if they see one of their clients coming down the sidewalk. Stops range from 15 sec to 45 seconds. Once the bus moves, the pedestrian backlog has to get across. The walkway, while necessary, is obviously a bottleneck. Having a private bus stop and block it for no reason only adds to the problem. Make the private buses (and their riders) walk up to the bus pull off lanes like everyone else. The back up on 10th street is already at a failing level. There is no reason to let private apartment transit buses make it worse.

The section of sidewalk along W 6th St in front of Fairview Methodist Church on the north side between Jackson and Fairview streets is in really bad shape. Most of the sidewalks in this area were recently replaced or shaved but this section really needs to be replaced. A person I was walking with recently tripped there and lost a lot of skin off of hands/knees/chin so this section really is dangerous, especially since most of the sidewalks around there are new so you aren't expecting it on this highly traveled section. See also closed case #177224 of Sept. 1, 2021. Sidewalk is flaking. 700 S Eastside Drive (corner lot) Nothing was done to repair this. House is for sale again now. Maybe a good time to insist that it be fixed.

Just south of rogers/madison train bridge (about 12th st), west sidewalk. I appreciate the work that was done here! If streets division was really involved then i doubly appreciate what may be a watershed moment for Bloomington sidewalks! So I'm sorry to condescend on technique but when clearing a sidewalk, it's essential to walk along the outside edge and if anything makes you duck or squirm, you're not done yet (it is a lot of work, i know). I'm 5'10 and this branch completely blocks my way along about a third of the walkway. This is a 5' monolithic sidewalk along a busy road. We need the full width. Thanks!

West side of rogers just south of 11th, sidewalk is covered with sand where construction traffic crosses it (i believe this vacant lot is a staging area for garage construction?). Its been nasty for weeks but something about it changed recently and now its a significant slip hazard. My 8yo fell here this morning and i had a hard time with it just now

My kid fell on this sidewalk on Wednesday. Adam wason said the problem would be remedied at 8:00 this morning but the photo is 3:21p Friday nov 13

Sidewalk on West side of Rogers just south of 11th Street covered in sand gravel still. You know, I really can't tell if they aren't clearing it or if the dust situation in their driveway is so bad that it refills immediately but there is still sand on the sidewalk every single time I am there and it's not just a little bit of sand. my good humor about this situation really evaporated when my kid fell last week. Anyways now there's a tarp too.
