Hello, I am wondering if there is anything the city can do to slow traffic heading west on Rogers toward High Street. There are pedestrian crossing signs and a flashing yellow light near the traffic circle at High Street, but this doesn't stop drivers from flying down the hill at dangerous speeds, and it's difficult for them to see people waiting to cross near the traffic circle. At least there is a crossing guard here in the morning and the afternoon during the school months. My major concern is that many drivers don't stop or even slow down for the pedestrian crossing at Rogers/The Stands Dr., and many people travel at 40+ mph here. My kids (and many others) walk and bike here all the time and I constantly worry about them because of the speeds at which people drive. Speed humps or rumble strips might help here. I would really appreciate it if the city would investigate and come up with a solution (and I'm sure many others would as well). Thank you.
'Hoosier Escape House' temporary sign at the corner of S Kingston Drive and E Third Street, looks like ROW to me.
Please consider making one side of Palmer "no parking," similar to the way there is only parking on one side of Dunn St between Hillside and Grimes. The street is very narrow and does not have a good shoulder, and there simply is not enough room to have cars parked on both sides of the street and for traffic to go through safely.
Ginormous patch of invasive knotweed growing on roadside on S Patterson between Allen and Second Street. It's even growing between the road and the bridge. Knotweed is a curse, much much worse than wintercreeper, multi-flora rose, garlic mustard, or bradford pear. Next thing, it'll be all over the banks of our creeks, lakes, and wetlands and we won't be able to do a damned thing about it. And breaking the roadway and bridge.
'Junk Removal' sign attached to a utility pole.
'Junk removal' temporary sign in the grass. Maybe in the ROW.
Vehicles speed down Sare rd (50 mph+) to Canada drive. There needs to be another stop sign before Meadow Creek apartments or a speed bump. There are autistic children in the area, pets, children riding bikes, elderly people, students, and wildlife at risk. These same people are throwing beer cans out the window and many of them are texting and driving. It’s a matter of time before there will be an accident. Thanks
Between sidewalk and street between 2nd street and Patterson on Rogers street there is excessive growth on the city street.
Need anothr speed limit sign or another speed hump between roundabout and the existing hump near Crescent Road. --Request from streetside residents of Crescent Bend Neighborhood Association. Safety concerns.
