Hello, we live in Sherwood Oaks and there is not a safe way to get to the biking trail starting on Rhorer at Walnut Street Pike. People are often walking or biking up the last two blocks of Walnut Street Pike to reach that connection. It's not safe. We'd be so grateful if the sidewalk could be completed on the East Side of Walnut Street Pike between Rhorer and Heather Drive. This would allow people to access Kroger and the Rail Trail more safely. Other wishlist items are paving the rail-trail that connects the B-Line and Clear Creek Trail,and extending sidewalks along Rhorer all the way from Walnut Street Pike to Sare (or at least to Benson). It would also be nice if the sidewalk along the East Side of Walnut Street Pike extended all the way from Rhorer to Winslow, but finishing a sidewalk on the E or W side of Walnut Street Pike between E. Heather and Rhorer is really essential to pedestrian and biker safety. We love all of the investments we're seeing Bloomington making in parks, recreation and infrastructure. We really value this as a family with young children. We're just surprised how patchy the sidewalks surrounding our neighborhood are, with some suddenly stopping (Walnut Street Pike + Rhorer) and others reworked only to a certain point (example biking from Winslow Plaza east to Highland or Allendale is challenging). This makes it difficult to access all of the new paved biking/walking trails that connect to the Rail Trail and B-Line. The did sidewalk that runs along the East side S Adams St north of Woodhill Dr is like a jungle. It is not kept clear AND is does not connect to the new path in front of the Youth Shelter. If you walk this sidewalk it is dangerous to pop out on Adam's from the dense woodsy area to walk in the road because the sidewalk isn’t completed.

Intersection at South Rogers and Chambers is often blocked for vehicles entering or exiting Chambers. Blocked traffic is due to close proximity to Rockport and South Rogers intersection. Please paint white X or similar markings on pavement at Chambers and South Rogers intersection to keep vehicles off of this 3 way intersection.

In the Westpointe subdivision, the sidewalk on the East side of Larkspur has never been completed. Also the sidewalk on the East side of Adams has not been completed to connect to the walk near the Youth Services building. When can we expect to have completed sidewalks in our neighborhood. We’ve been here 30 years and they’ve never been finished. Thank you?

There is no safe access to 2nd St from Allen St. Adams St continually has pedestrians walking in the road. This road is on a bus route. Want our community members to be safe traveling/walking. Adams St. from Allen St to 2nd is not safe.

I have called 2 times to get these 2 separate line of sight safety issues resolved. I have also filed a previous uReport case # 172894. However nothing has been done to resolve these 2 issues. I even included photos on original uReport. So I will file another uReport. The first public safety traffic issue is at the T-intersection of Allen Street and Bloomfield Rd. as you approach Bloomfield Rd. and are looking to your right. This intersection has bushes/small trees/over growth ect... and blocks your view completely. The second issue with line of sight public safety traffic hazard is when you exit Hilltop Court Apts. 1305 West Allen St. and look to your right and again your line of sight is blocked by over growth both these areas especially the first one needs trimmed way back so this problem doesn't come right back in 30 days. I am curious as to why no one has even returned a call to my cell or emails me back with the resolution ect.. Rest assured I will continue to pursue this up the ladder until it is resolved. There is not continuous sidewalk on Adams from Allen to 2nd street causing pedestrians to have to walk in the road in an unprotected area. On the East side of the road it literally ends in a wooded area and people have made a foot path from the end of the sidewalk, through the woods, to the road. On the West side of the road the sidewalk goes from 2nd south about a half a block and then just ends. This needs to taken care of by the city.
