A scooter has been parked on the sidewalk in front of my house, blocking the sidewalk, and making my yard mowing task more difficult. Another scooter has been left on the sidewalk 2 doors from me, and has been there for a week.
At the intersection of E 3rd St and College Mall Rd motorists headed west on E 3rd St and turning south onto College Mall Rd often crowd into the intersection as their light turns yellow and then red. They then are blocking the intersection so that people traveling east on East 3rd are blocked from proceeding. Today they blocked the intersection for almost he entire duration of the green light for those traveling East on 3rd St. My suggestion is to post an officer at this intersection and ticket persons who are blocking the intersection when the light for the eastbound cars on 3rd St turns green.
I was mowing my yard yesterday evening when I noticed a bicycle left on W. Seventh Street. I did not think about it until I read that the IUPD has had a number of bicycle thefts. So I went out today and the bicycle is still there. I leaned it by a light pole. It is an older Schwinn, dark blue, 15-speed, without a seat. Maybe it is one of the bicycles that was stolen.
While it's always been an issue by my definition, the amount of speeding has seemed to have gone way up in recent weeks/months. There are a lot of kids playing in this general area and many of us in the neighborhood are more and more concerned. What can be done?
This renter had these piled up attracting mice when there is already a rodent poison battle going on - this is a wildlife area an owl could be poisoned by dead mouse - now he is blocking the sidewalk a federal violation. Dark blue Hyundai appeared in front of my house many weeks ago and has not moved. The vehicle has no license plate or anything indicating ownership and appears to be abandoned. It is unlocked and there are no personal items or registration inside to allow me to contact a potential owner.
2 vehicles without license plates and several flat tires. Have been reported previously on u-report. Sitting in the street blocking traffic and large trucks like sanitation in the cul de sac. Ford explorer and Pontiac G6.
The white utility van has been sitting in the same position in a vacant parking lot (Grimes & Woodlawn) for over 2 weeks. I have seen sketchy cars pulling up along the side of the van at night and leaving a bit later - maybe drug activity? Also, the website listed on the van is nonexistent which adds to the oddness of this van.
