I am not sure if this is a parks issue or the street department. I was at the farmers market yesterday and there are several large holes in the parking lot. A friend that was with me from out of town actually tripped in one and fell down. They have white paint around them so maybe this already being addressed. Thanks!

Was walking to the parking garage after class and when I came into the stairwell two homeless people were at the bottom of the steps. One had a needle in her hand getting ready to shoot whatever she had and the other man sitting watch. This situation is extremely dangerous and not right for the public to see just going to class. I live at 117 S.Heritage Rd in Park Ridge area. To avoid risk to crash into the vehicles parked on Heritage Rd, I turned into Morningside from 3rd street, then Park Lane, meadow brook, back to Morningside then into Heritage. When the time I turned into Morningside, it’s like from a bright hallway into a dark theater. Once I almost turn into the grass area. The street lights in Park Ridge area are old fashioned. The ones in Park Ridge East with low warm light are much better. The area I passed are all dark even with people’s own light, hard for drivers to see people walking their dogs in the night.

I went to the county library down town, to my surprise to see so many people use it for winter protection. It’s nice to give them somewhere warm and be able to sleep, but it totally lose the purpose of a library. Luckily I took a mask at the entrance, the whole place is so unhealthy.
