The traffic light at Bloomfield Rd (2nd Street) & Rolling Ridge Way is a problem during normal commuting hours (7:30am-8:30am & 4:30pm-5:30pm). In the morning, traffic comes to a crawl and is backed up from this intersection all the way to the exits of Highway 69, often blocking the Highway exits. The short trip between the Highway exits and this intersection would normally take less than 1 minute. During the morning commute hours, it takes 5+ minutes. A similar situation occurs in the evening. Westbound traffic comes to a crawl and is commonly backed up from this intersection to S Patterson Drive, or sometimes even farther. This traffic light is certainly the cause. After passing this light, the congestion is no where to be seen and traffic flows normally. My suggestion would be to alter the programming of this light, during these specific hours, to be much more heavily biased toward East-West traffic. Perhaps it could stay green for East-West traffic for 50% longer than standard, or similar.
This is follow up on ureport #176835, covering the sidewalk just west and south of the train bridge at 11th and fairview. After 2 weeks without any progress from the city, I started doing it myself. I removed most of the large honeysuckle plants growing within 2-4 ft of the sidewalk. I removed the branches overhanging within 6.5ft of the sidewalk. As you can see in this picture, I shoveled the dirt off of the inner 1ft of the sidewalk, *and found the edge of the sidewalk* for the first time in decades!!! I did not complete the shoveling. I've put in about 3hrs labor at this site so far and anticipate another 1.5hrs before completion. It would be awesome if this kind of clearing happened at the numerous places where hillsides have collapsed onto sidewalks, often reducing effective width by 25-50%. should i finish shoveling this one or can someone in public works do it?
Curb in roudabout has cracked and is falling apart. Pieces are entering roadway posing possible damage to vehicles.
The street has a number of potholes and areas where the pavement has chipped/chucked or generally needs maintenance. At the least, the lines that separate cars from bikes and pedestrians is in need of repainting. Thanks!
Overgrown, weed-filled, unsightly bump out. There is also high weeds near stop sign at this corner of Grant and Allen. All bump outs on Allen look terrible.
Couldn't figure out how to edit case#177072 to include location. This is the location of the alley way that scrapes all our cars. Van scrapes front and back end trying to get up it to our driveway. South madison entrance of the alley way between 1117 s rogers and 1115 s rogers.
There are a number of deep potholes along the northern edge of the public right of way between 616 S. Walnut St and 620 S. Walnut St.
