The sidewalk is unlevel and a safety hazard, especially when it rains mud and water collects making it slippery. There are a lot of elderly people in our community, which makes it a trip hazard. Also, in the winter makes it very difficult to shovel the snow. I submitted a request to have it repaired in December when they repaired the one across the street. However, they said they would repair it this Spring. Thank you. Vertessa

I call to your attention a significant safety concern regarding the curbing located outside of 1700 N. Lincoln St. in Bloomington. This curbing is uneven with the sidewalk and other adjacent curbing; it is cracking and deteriorating in some areas. The curbing is in a high student foot traffic area used by several hundred students per day while Indiana University classes are in full session. I am requesting that the Bloomington Street Division replace the damaged curbing and install ADA-compliant curb ramps in the affected areas. potholes issue was submitted for repair a few months ago. we noticed the potholes in this alley were repaired on the iFell side of things, but not all the way down the alley. There are still several potholes that are quite deep next to our parking lot side of 213 S Rogers.

My name is Ya-Feng Wang.  I came to the State of Indiana about ten years ago due to a government job.  In Bloomington, IN, the housing issue is a big problem.  In the fall of 2018, I was homeless for about 4~5 months.  The previous managers at Cambridge Square Bloomington arranged to let me move into an apartment in Dec. 2018.  It is hard to get things done in Bloomington, IN.  It is hard to find an apartment.  It is hard to find a good doctor.  It is hard to find a mechanic.  My cars are old Volvo cars. It is more difficulty to find one.  It is not my fault. If I cannot find one, I cannot create one.  In the fall of 2025, I had some serious health issues.  My vision has become extremely poor. I even had a hard time to do some treatment. They just assume that I violated parking policies. They evicted me.  Since last fall, I spent all of my time searching for legal assistance and an apartment. All efforts were useless.  The court is very biased. Finally, they evicted me.  I do not know what to do.  My pity Volvo cars were towed.  At the last moment, the manager was still threatening to let me sleep on street.  With the help of relatives, I have a temporary place to stay.  Cambridge Square is for people with disabilities and elders to have a place to stay.  Government intended to assist those people with disabilities.  It is totally wrong to be extremely tough on those Federal protected individuals with disabilities.  Many tenants there hate the management there.  They try to organize associations to have their own rights.  I encourage the city to investigate the situation and to help those pity tenants.
