Hello, I am reaching out to you on behalf of the greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. We recently have moved locations and I am in the process of updating our new location information with all necessary entities. Our new address is as follows: 421 West 6th Street, Suite A Bloomington, IN 47404 I hope this is the right contact to reach out to in regards to this matter. If it is not, I would greatly appreciate insight on who to reach out to at the city level to update this information.
There are multiple cars in various states of repair parked on the lawn at 800 N washington. Either they are turning this place into a junkyard, or some sort of car repair business.
No issue. Just wondering how I can buy the abandoned building on 1st and south Morton. Thank you very much.
Does the governor's statement prohibiting gathering places of more than 250 people apply to restaurants?
Can we get some attention on the empty giant boxes in East Bloomington? Kmart and Marsh? Maybe vacancy tax or financial incentives? But been years now. Bad for the area and whole town to just sit on good land in decent area not being used.
Around 9pm tonight (Sunday 3/29/2020) the Chocolate Moose on Walnut had a crowd of probably 15-20+ people inside. A big group was congregated inside together to get ice cream. There were also people congregating outside of the business and on the sidewalk. How is this okay? The Governor's order for the state of Indiana says we cannot go out for non-essential trips. The federal government says we cannot be in groups over 10 people. The crowd at Chocolate Moose was violating all of these rules. Can the City take action or should the state or county health departments or a police agency be notified?
Hobby Lobby promised to close for 2 weeks and give us paid leave. They have randomly reopened and are forcing workers to come back if they want to get paid. They are a non essential business. Shut them down!
A colleague recently shared a list of “essential businesses” that are still open: Andrew Davis Clothiers. Bloomingfoods East. Bloomingfoods Near West Side. Bloomington Hardware. Black's Mercantile. Caveat Emptor. Feast Market & Cellar. Goods for Cooks. Mirth. The Book Corner. The Briar & The Burley. Tivoli Fashions. Vance Music Center. I am wondering how some of these businesses are still open in this serious healthcare crisis, per the Indiana state list of essential businesses: https://coronavirus.in.gov/2496.htm. I’m very supportive of local business, but lax interpretation of these rules puts our whole community at risk.
Hello. I'd like to report that BUGS Gymnastics is advertising a drive by parade this Friday and I find that a bit disturbing given the lockdown situation. I think this falls under non-essential travel and activities and think this even should be shut down to keep people safe and from spreading the virus.
