There is a loud rumbling noise coming from Carlise factory since 10pm Sunday December 5 that is causing shaking of my house and vibrations that can be felt inside. Noise from the factory has been an ongoing issue, but it has been increasing in volume and intensity for a few months. The factory was quiet yesterday during the day (Sunda) bu the noise and reverberations that began at 10pm last night has been the worst yet. I'm concerned for my personal safety, but also for the structure of my house and utilities - especially gas lines.

Hello. I am Alli Johnson. I will be graduating college at the end of the Fall 2017 term. I am not sure what I want to do with my future. I know that recently I have become extremely interested in sustainable community development. Creating community that is built with sustainable practices in mind. I was wondering if there would be anyone in the local government of Bloomington, IN that would allow me to shadow them to learn more about their job or possibly an internship. I would love to hear back from you.
Thank you for your time,
Alli Johnson

I am not reporting an issue but just providing general feedback about the business development aspects of Bloomington. The city should work to attract more eco-friendly businesses for personal services, such as a high-quality Aveda salon. Also, I believe that Bloomington would be a better place for adult working professionals if major area employers exceeded Cook Medical and Indiana University. Even amid and after the pandemic recovery, more area businesses should consider offering remote work opportunities to attract more talent to the Bloomington community. Also, Bloomington needs more flexible housing options (month to month rentals) that do not require leasing contracts. Perhaps the city should even consider attracting and implementing more quality and affordable extended stay hotel housing to accommodate professionals and students in transition.
