I had an unpleasant near miss biking the small connector trail that Weatherstone down to Highland Ave. At the bottom of the hill, a scooter was on its side, in the middle of the pathway. It was not visible until almost right on top of it, and I came close to wiping out. The city needs to find a solution to scooters that are abandoned haphazardly on sidewalks and bike trails. This is not the first incident I've had, and certainly won't be the last. Eventually someone will get seriously hurt.

Hello, I am writing to make a complaint about the scooters that have appeared over the last few weeks from both Bird and Lime. This past Saturday, multiple scooters from both companies were simply abandoned in Bryan Park, some of which were blocking the sidewalks and paths through the park, some of which were leaning against trees and benches, all of which were eyesores in an otherwise lovely park. At one point in the afternoon, six or so Lime scooters were dropped off on the sidewalk by the Henderson St. lower parking lot by folks from Enterprise Rental, on the sidewalk, where people walk, run, etc. In Bloomington, we are fortunate to have bike racks everywhere. Would it be possible to require that users and companies place the scooters at bike rack locations? By simply allowing them to be left wherever, users are leaving them around without regard to others. This is also a bit of an issue with the Pace bikes. A few weeks ago, one was left leaning on the stop sign at Henderson and Davis, when there is a bike rack just a block away in the park. I am writing to complain about being towed from Bedrak Cafe parking lot at 8:30p by Tow Time and being charged $215. This is an extortion rate. The Bedrak Cafe has signs posted but you cannot see them when it is dark. They are tiny and dark in color. We were not given warning that we would be towed and then to be charged such an exorbitant amount is unreasonable. My fiance met me and we had 2 other friends that parked there. We were gone from our cars less than 20 minutes and 3 of the 4 cars were gone and the 4th one was in the process of being towed. The towing company has to be lying in wait for anyone to park there and then stealing your car and charging you this astronomical price. He then basically threatened us stating if we did not pay him immediately that it would cost us $20-40 more and that we would have to make an appointment to get the cars back at their convenience. This is extortion, we felt intimidated, and backed into a corner. Then on top of this he tells us that he has a contract with the owner of Bedrak Cafe to keep the lot cleaned out of all cars except when they are open. So how much of a kick back is Bedrak getting from Tow Time. And where is Tow Time located. I could not find a Bloomington address for Tow Time. What is the city regulations on parking and fees for being towed? This makes the city of Bloomington look very bad. No one will want to go down town if you cannot park in a lot where the business is closed. This is outrageous!

Can we get some attention on the empty giant boxes in East Bloomington? Kmart and Marsh? Maybe vacancy tax or financial incentives? But been years now. Bad for the area and whole town to just sit on good land in decent area not being used.

Catalent's new construction is ~ 24/7 this results in near-constant beeping from the backup warning on their equipment. Today, the beeping was going at 6am , it runs to ~ 10 pm; including on Saturday and Sunday. Isn't this in violation of the noise regulations in town?

Since about June/July last year, karate class is happening in my culdesac. At first it was a single student lesson, but then it turned into multiple students and multiple classes a week with parents/cars lining the street. There were 2 classes Sunday, another yesterday evening, and 2 more today. I'm almost positive the guy running classes is from MCMA which closed its dojo doors during the pandemic. We felt like this was okay when it started. One of the kids lives next door and it was one class here and there, but this is kind of getting out of control. I don't want to ruin it for the kids who are getting some activity, but I don't understand why they don't do this in the park. I guess my question is is there any problem with someone teaching karate classes in a public culdesac?

One of the businesses just north of Broadview neighborhood on Rogers street is sounding an alarm like a truck's reverse beep during the city's overnight quiet hours. On Thursday May 20th it can be heard at 3am at nearby residences.

Loud industrial noises all through the day and night. Police said they cannot do anything because this is a business. Constant noise can be heard clearly from nearby apartments (especially southernmost apartments of The Willows Townhouses and Hilltop Court apartments), and even homes 0.5 miles away in Westpoint neighborhood. Advised that this is a batch production that the business Organized Living started on Monday and will continue through Thursday. This is not the first time they have done this days' long process that interrupts both sleep and daytime sanity. Machine in question is outdoors and at the northwest corner of the building, nearest to the populated area.

Hello - there is a very loud phone ringing noise that originates at a car lot on S. Walnut Street (I think it comes from Royal Toyota South). I live about 2,000 feet away on Somersbe Place off of S. Rogers. I can hear the phone ring inside my house with the doors and windows closed. This is a rather annoying noise carrying over a great distance. Will you please work with the City and the car lot to put an end to this offensive noise creating a nuisance for everyone living within a given radius of the car lot? Thanks!

The restaurant had perishable food items such as green onions, garlic and cilantro sitting out without refrigeration for long periods of time. Bathrooms were not cleaned regularly.
