Received email from the planning dept. The uncontainered trash bags around the back wall of 809 S. Fess are an increasing nuisance on our block. When I complain to the students, they clean up the alley a bit but do not put out their trash weekly. The raccoons, rats, ect. get into it and carry bits of garbage around the back alley, where my toddler and I like to walk. This week is a typical example of what is lying around back there. "There is a house/trailer that is abandoned over three years ago right across our house on Coolidge. Apart from the awful condition of the house (the house is falling part and it really looks ugly), I am really concerned that the house might threaten the health of our community by attracting mice. Also, I saw a stranger going in and out, so I am concerned about safety as well."
