To whom it may concern,
I am not sure who I should address my question to, so please forward this question to the correct person. I am getting married on May 3, 2014. At the end of our ceremony, we would like to go outside and release paper lanterns to float off into the sky. It dawned on me that I should ensure this idea is permissible within city limits. Please let me know ASAP. Thank you.

In the alley between 909 and 911 S Madison St., a property owner (909) is running an electrical line (extension cord) from their home across the alley to send power to an above ground pool. The wiring lays across hot asphalt and is covered by old carpets. This is an unsafe method for provide electricity to a separate property, and poses risks of fire in the neighborhood.
