Drainage or Runoff

This was originally a trouble report left on T&D voice mail on 5/22/14. I visited the site on 5/23 and met with her husband. They have had storm water problems since they moved into the house in 1999. During heavy rain storms, the water flows over the drive and into the garage. They have tried different things and currently have to keep sand bags in front of the garage door but the water still sometimes goes over them.

Can't get a photo to upload to uReport. There appears to be a minor water leak coming from under the edge of the asphalt at the corner of Bainbridge and Allendale. Curb has been holding water for a while and there seems to be a small but increasing flow.

I live at 1202 E. Elliston Drive (green house pictured). Elliston Dr, at the northwest corner of our lot, pools with a large volume of storm water after even a little rainfall, and it does not drain we have to wait for it to evaporate. I know it's probably an undertaking but is there any way the city can fix this? Overall the corner is a high elevation but there's a shallow pool there as you can see, and no storm drain. Could a storm line be ran down to another location so it can drain away and stop causing problems with the curb basically eroding away?

Greetings, I spoke briefly with a street maintenance crew as they were working in front of my home - and thought I'd share the conversation here. Over the past few years, the gutter from in front of our home (1504 E Elliston) on down to Fenway Pl has deteriorated significantly to the point that our driveway & yard are sinking as well. I'm no longer able to get my cars out of my driveway without scraping the bottom. When we get major rainstorms, I've noticed that the water runs directly into the ground from the gaps in the gutters & road, which I'd imagine contributes to the gutters & road sinking.
I appreciate that they were out there patching the holes, but the patching really is very temporary from my observation. I was wondering if the city would have any plans to shore up the foundation, perhaps rebuild the gutters in a way that my driveway/yard won't continue to sink. Your consideration would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

There is a very large pot hole in front of my house. I reported this a couple months ago. This is on a big hill and kids ride their bikes down the hill fast. It is only a matter of time before one hits the pot hole and hurts themselves. Please note that this has been repaired before. Water is washing out the repairs, so something more permanent needs to be done in the long run. In the short run, it would improve safety if the hole was at least filled.
Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

The main sewage line north of my home is backing up (again). This is a recurring issue. The water/sewage level at the access hole has reached the level of the basement, and the basement toilet has started to back up. Please clean out the blockage in the main sewage. I am aware that you had crews there earlier this year to cut back roots, but something is blocking this sewage line now.

We had our basement flood (wet carpet in half the basement) on January 20, 2017 without any previous sign of leakage on that side of the house. The source of the water is unclear, but I'm wondering if the home (built ca. 1973) has a footer drain connected to the storm drain. Kevin Potter is coming out to inspect for structural damage at 2 pm today (1/25/17)
The city storm drain was updated within the past two years with the new pipe starting at the down-slope corner of our property. The neighbor two houses up-slope from us discharges a lot of water from his property and had excavation work done near the end of his french drain on the 18th or 19th. Part of this work involved off and onloading a sizeable backhoe in front of our driveway near where the old and new drain pipe would be joined. I'm not sure what work the neighbor had done. In addition to his drainage, the neighbor immediately down slope from us was also draining his pool into the storm drain on what had been a very rainy week.
Is it possible to send a city employee out to see whether some combination of these activities has caused the drainage system to fail or otherwise backflow into our house? Thanks!
