The roadway has been built up quite a bit in front of our house at 2006 S Sussex, resulting in a significant dip between the street and our driveway. This is causing the bottom of the cars to scrape when entering and exiting. Surrounding houses have had blacktop poured into this area to level out the connection. Could we have that done too please?
The entire length of Sussex Drive, on both sides, is filled with spots where the edge of the roadway is crumbling into the gutter. We don't have sidewalks on this road, and a lot of people end up walking along the edge of the road. The loose and crumbling asphalt is a real tripping hazard. I started an attempt to clean up the loose asphalt, but I have no where to dispose of this. I'd like to request that the loose asphalt be cleaned up, and the edges of the road patched up. To reiterate, the entire length of Sussex is in great need of attention. Thank you!
Dead deer between houses at 2003 and 2011 S High St. Animal was struck by a car and later euthanized by DNR today. Need it removed soon.
The tulip poplar planted along the S High St recreational path last autumn is showing no signs of life this spring. All of the other tulip poplars in the area are now fully leafed out. This is the last tree in the row that includes the yellowwoods north of Wimbleton St. Would love for it to be replaced this year. Thanks.
One of the new street trees planted by the city after the completion of the new north extension of the Jackson Creek Trail last fall has unfortunately died, and should be replaced. It is sending up suckers at the base, but I don’t think a large shrubby plant is what was intended. Tree is near the property line of the house on High and the house on the corner facing Wimbleton. New street tree not replaced: after the multi-use path was installed, a tree replacing a large locust was planted. That tree died almost immediately. This spring, someone from the city cut it off at the base, but did not replace it. I u-reported it last year as well and was informed then that the contractor which originally planted it would replace it sometime during last year. It’s no skin off my nose if it isn’t replaced, just rather disappointing. Thanks!
