Our school bus driver says the light barely stays green long enough for her to get from Oakdale to Basswood daily. Can this green light time be extended a bit, please?

School bus drivers are complaining the light barely stays green long enough to get from Oakdale through the light to Basswood or to turn left. This is my 2nd time putting in this request as I was told this light is maintained by the state and I would need to contact INDOT. I did that and they referred me back to you. The intersection of W Bloomfield Road and Oakdale Drive/S Basswood Drive is outside of INDOT jurisdiction. Those roads are city streets under the jurisdiction of the City of Bloomington. I understand that you contacted them already, but I can confirm that they are city streets, which INDOT does not maintain. There is a wasteland of excess garbage and debris that was unveiled when the city cut back vegetation in this area. It is on the left hand side right as you turn into the apartment complex.

There is a wasteland of garbage on the corner of S. Oakdale Dr. & W. Bloomfield Road as you are turning into the road that leads to the Oakdale Square apartment complex.

When turning left off of Basswood Drive, if you are not there BEFORE the light turns green for anyone going straight/right at the same intersection, your left turn light stays red until the next cycle. It is so unnecessary and should be a yellow caution arrow like literally every other street light in existence.
