Switchyard Dog Park, Large Dog enclosure Please erect a barrier promptly, around the collection of mud + water about 25 feet from the entrance. During my 1st visit with my dog on Saturday, 9-11, he noticed the area by following another dog into the mud. Note there is no hose + water source to rinse dogs, unlike Ferguson Dog Pk, which has this resource during non-winter months. In addition to causing damage to the interior of my car, the muddy substrate was not easily cleaned. A rash has developed in several areas of my dog's skin. Water alone did not remedy the muck; standard dog shampoo fared a bit better. I diluted Dawn dish detergent, which worked best but likely added to the discomfort of the rash. We have a veterinary appt on Monday to address. Again, please erect a barrier around this area and also plan for long-term, engineering solution. Thank you. (I also suggest the installation of water hoses and will submit that separately.)

Switchyard Park is wonderful! Kudos to Parks & Rec. Two suggestions: 1 - Please install umbrella holders (or umbrella holders + umbrellas, but I recognize there could be more of a theft issue)at the wooden 'bleachers' at the pickle ball courts. 2) For both dog parks at Switchyard, erect shaded areas perhaps similar to the Ferguson dog park. Suggest two or three areas per dog enclosure. This could be esp. crucial for helping maintaining dog health during summer months. Also, install water hoses to clean dirt from paws + coat when play is over. Thank you for considering!

No issue! I am enrolled in the Resident's Academy and recently toured Switchyard Park with hosts Paula McDevitt and Tim Street. This was super enjoyable and informative. Kudos to Paula, Tim, and their respective crews!

There is a recurring problem at this intersection. Drivers heading west on 3rdSt/46 and turning south onto College Mall Rd routinely block the eastbound traffic on 3rd St by blocking the intersection after their turn light turns red. Tonight the intersection was blocked for the eastbound traffics entire green light. The Do Not Block the Intersection signs go unnoticed or unheeded. I’ve contacted the Mayors office before and my complaint was forwarded to someone who couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything to address the problem. I’ve contacted the Police Department who said it wasn’t a priority and they didn’t have the manpower to do anything even if it was a priority. My suggestion is to make the Do Not Block the Intersection signs more noticeable and to shorten the duration of the left turn signal for those turning south onto College Mall Rd from the westbound 3rd St lanes. The water in our house has a dirt like smell and taste.

We have noticed that our water quality has been pretty awful the past couple of weeks. It tastes like algae/moldy and smells. We have never noticed our water quality this bad since we have lived in Bloomington the past 12 years and are concerned that there is something dangerously bad with our drinking water. Can this please be checked as we have residents who have health issues and don't need them to be aggravated due to bad water. Thank you.
