No public transit to where I work. One of the three top employers in Bloomington, and no public transit available.
Help! For days now water literally smells and tastes like dirt. Must be really bad - pets will NOT drink either. Solutions? We’re clearly not alone. Are you going to supply bottled water since you think you deserved more money to run your operation??? For dirt???
Light does not turn on at night
This unnecessary, gas station-style light seems far too tall and way too bright for this context of a residential neighborhood. It shines brightly into my second-story bedroom window (see photo) and wakes me during the night. No one living on this intersection wants it here. Bright outdoor light in the summer also disrupts firefly mating, causing their population to decline. Please remove it—or replace with a much shorter, *much dimmer*, insect-friendly, amber-lit lamp post, ideally also befitting a historic neighborhood. Thank you.
Why in the actual fuck would you hold a god damn street fair when there is limited parking as it is and taking away even more parking? Y'all are fucking idiots and deserve to be shot, hung, tarred and feathered, horsewhipped, and put down!
It would be great if the Bryan Park loop and the winslow park loop had spray painted markings of 0m/Start, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m and possibly 1k, 2k, or 3k. This would be helpful for walkers and runners to encourage them to set goals. I see community members running these circuits b/c the High school track are not open to the public.
The sidewalk on the west side of Fairview has been made hazardous by the property owner at 708 W 12th Street neglecting maintenance of their property for many years. The plants are growing into the public right-of-way, and the pine needle litter is so deep that when it is wet it is causing a slip hazard. It's been like this for at least three years and I am tired of neglectful property owners renting out their houses for income and not being good neighbors.
The rear retaining wall of 705 w 13th Street is a hazard as it is soon to fall like the other piece of retaining wall that fell off. Please address this hazard that is seen every day by us dog walkers using the public ROW in the alley. That large piece of limestone could fall any second and land on something or someone and it is unfair that property owners are not held accountable for maintaining their property. This rental property was inspected recently, and even with hazardous sidewalks on property as well as hazardous retaining walls, it was approved as safe for being a rental. Nope. It is not safe.
