I sent this to mcdevitp@bloomington.in.gov, sternerm@bloomington.in.gov, eadsd@bloomington.in.gov, barrickb@bloomington.in.gov today, but I wanted to submit it here too so that it's entered into the uReport records and doesn't get lost. This is in regard to the hole in the turf field at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center, where the turf has worn through to the concrete and almost caused some serious injuries to our league players on Sunday, February 19th. Our league ends after March 5th and I'm worried someone will get seriously hurt between now and then unless something is done to cover or patch that spot on the field during that time. Hi Paula, Rebecca, Mark, and Daren, Thank you for your quick response. I do appreciate that you are inquiring to see if the work can be moved up to spring break week (March 13). However, this doesn't answer my question about what they are going to do to make the field safe to play on in the two weeks before that time. We still have to play on the field during those two weeks (unless of course Twin Lakes would like to refund us the money for those days and reschedule our field time - something that would need to be discussed with the leagues). Is there anything Twin Lakes can do to patch or cover that spot in the immediate term until the repairs can be made? The street light to the Hyde Park entrance on Sare Road and Winston Street is out. Busy entrance and hard to see turn with no lighting. Thanks!

An extension of issues #182682, #182475 and #182390. There are four street lights in the block between Grant-Dunn on Cottage Grove. The two closest to the west end of the block are on the south side and the other two on the north side. They are mostly white right now, but they are starting to turn purple like the other lights did on this block and that have now been replaced by normal, yellowish lights. The lights on this block are not yet at the point that they are painful and glaring like the other ones were, but they might be headed that way if indeed there was a manufacturing defect with the other lights that were replaced. Just a heads up, in case Duke will be out soon to replace any other lights nearby.

I'm a former student and was new to the APP download style for parking as it has been a debit/credit system before I believe and while this was someone frustrating to not have that option as well...On one of the meters near Mailubu grill across from the court house on the other side of the parking lots directly infront of the courthouse I tried to park there uncessfully after getting out and following a sticker on the meter that said scan QR code to pay. I was assuming it was for parking app and just doing it the mobile website version instead of the app. I followed the website may have been a pop up but didn't seem like it and started to put in info. Right about the exact same time to a minute or less I got a automatic rejection notice from my bank alerting me to possible fraud or something of that nature so I did not accept it. They blocked it for $40 thankfully. I think there might a a scamphishing expedition where people are putting stickers on the meters possibly. I ultimately didn't park there after my bank alerted me to the $40 charge and called my bank to cancel the card just in case. It wasn't until I tried at another location and just typed in the name of the meter in google play and downloaded the app from there that I saw how straight forward the parking system is as it allows you to see all nearby parking directions. Fortunatley my bank alerted me to this potential phishing or whatever you call it. There was a link to a website that did didn't look like a real website. Just wanted to alert the city of this in case more people have had this problem. Also I later received a email from

At the corner of Clifton and E Second there is a realtor sign that protrudes into the road and forces cars to move over to the left in a place where the road is already narrow. It is clear that the sign has been hit at least once already.It has been there for months now.

There have been numerous twisted ankles and slips due to the poorly patched or non existent turf on the indoor turf fields at Twin Lakes Rec Center. Please find a quick fix while leagues are still occuring, and ideally a whole refitting of the field between leagues, it is about time for that after years of poor-quality patches.
