Hello! I was wondering if I could gain permission to metal dectect on city parks and rec property? Specifically, I would like to try metal detecting at Lower Cascades. If permissible, I would minimize avoid any restricted areas, fill in any dig holes, and would remove all surface and underground trash encountered. Excessive growth on strip of land on Sare Rd at crossing into Hyde Park at David St. This hasn’t been mowed at all this year and was only mowed several times last year. I think the city can do a better job. I consider this a health hazard.

My water line was hoked up last week to the new supply that has been installed on N Hancock Dr. I expected a bit of flavor difference, but this plastic taste is NOT diminishing. I have run water for 1/2 hour in the house a couple times, but no great success. Could you please flush the new lines at the hydrants ? Bill Goodhew

We have significant concerns with N. Smith just being repaved in that we just want to confirm the striping is not done. Bike lanes are not painted, which not only help bikes but slow traffic by narrowing the street. And even more importantly the dangerous Greenway intersection at N. Smith and Morningside is not repainted with crosswalks. Ideally we'd like to see crosswalk enhancements for bike/pedestrian traffic there, as currently many cars pose danger by Zooming through the stop signs currently there from N. Smith's side.
