I would like to request sidewalks/speed bumps on Elliston Dr. in Sherwood Oaks Neighborhood. Elliston is the main thourough fair to Sherwood Oaks Park, Jackson Creek Trail and Olcott Park, which also leads to Childs Elementary and Jackson Creek Middle School. There is significant foot traffic daily of adults, kids and pets being walked. Children go to school on this route and yet there is nothing provided to keep them safe. There are currently no sidewalks to keep foot traffic safe and no speed bumps to slow down traffic. People speed through this area whether local traffic or visitors to the park and what the city has done to date is not enough. Someone is going to get hurt and it will be on the onus of those who have chose to do nothing to keep pedestrians safe. Please consider making a change and putting sidewalks/speed bumps in to allow for safe travels for all in this area. Thank you

I live at 1009 S. Lincoln St., and running in a perpendicular line to the street from our water access, at the house edge of the sidewalk, there's a big hole. It seems to go below the sidewalk a little. I'm not sure if I should just fill it in, or if it is indicative of a larger problem that should be addressed. I'd love a little guidance from the experts! The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. I have a problem on my property with drainage. The drainage of my property runs off naturally into my neighbor's yard. His address is 3514 Morningside Drive. When a storm comes, his back yard pools and remains there for a few days until it is absorbed into the ground. I discussed with one of the neighbors how this might be resolved and volunteered to help pay for pipes that would carry the water that pools in their yard to the ditch along Morningside Drive. The neighbor didn't think that would work. Now they have dug out a deeper hole in their yard and are installing a "Sponge Garden." My understanding is that this will retain water and will not allow my yard to drain. This area has backed up into my basement in the past and flooded it. It seems to me that this will occur more easily with the installment of the "Sponge Garden." I appeal to the city of Bloomington to send engineers to come and see if there is some way that water can be drained into the ditch along Morningside Drive.

There is an abandoned vehicle parked in the street at 908 S. Washington St. It is a blue Volkswagen Tiguan with flat tires and expired plates.

Items left in alley — there is a suitcase and some trash bags that appear to be someone’s possessions in the alley that runs East-West between E 15th and E 16 th Street (N Walnut and Washington are the cross streets.
