Just wanted to say that I saw a worker/or volunteer(?) the other day on the Griffy Trail raking leaves off the trail. It was much appreciated and I appreciate the work being done! Makes walking the trail much easier!
A homeless man seems to be setting up camp in this park. Aren’t some of my tax dollars going to help house the homeless? I am at this park every day and will not be happy if it turns into another park full of homeless people. No problem if they are just passing through like the rest of us, but I don’t want them living here.
Approaching the Winslow/ Rogers/ High street roundabout from the south, there is no signage to indicate the names of the roads. Please label each of the exits from the circle, and, if you're feeling fancy, give drivers an indication of what can be found at each exit point. Minimum: *arrow that says High street *arrow that says Rogers *arrow that saws Winslow Plus, if you're feeling helpful Signs that point to common destinations *IU *I-69 *College Mall & Lake Monroe Causeway & Brown county Thanks!
Two couches and numerous trash bags in small front yard at 1521 E. Maxwell at corner of Eastside Dr.
Homeless people are again living in People’s Park. They’re using drugs, fighting, leaving trash everywhere, screaming and yelling, urinating and defecating and have taken over most of the benches and tables. It also appears that they are sleeping there overnight. We bought ice cream across the street and expected to have a nice Sunday afternoon in the park for thirty minutes or so… we tried sitting on the steps of a business on the opposite side of Dunn Street but the shrubbery nearby was probably soaked in urine based on the stench. We simply left at that point….. No other Indiana city of the same size and population has a homeless population of 1 % of that of Bloomington and that is directly attributable to the fact that Bloomington attracts these people by virtue of feeding them and enabling them unlike anywhere else in Indiana. I’ve lived in and near Bloomington since 1974 and this has simply gotten totally out of hand.
