Dear City Department / Fleet Supervisor, I am writing to report a near-miss incident involving a City vehicle that occurred on 2/16/2026 at approximately 9:41am at the intersection of Stipp Rd, Handy Rd, and Moffett Rd. I was traveling from Stipp Rd toward Moffett Rd when a City vehicle pulled out from Handy Rd onto Moffett Rd at the same time I was proceeding through. It appeared that the driver may have misjudged the right-of-way or believed there was a stop sign controlling my direction of travel. As a result, I was forced to swerve and slam on my brakes to avoid a collision. Had I not reacted immediately, I likely would have either struck the City vehicle or ended up in the ditch on the right side of the roadway. The situation was extremely close and could have resulted in significant vehicle damage or serious injury. The City vehicle was described as: Vehicle type/color: Gray Ford Escape Plate Number: 100008 I am submitting this report out of concern for public safety and to help prevent a future accident by this individual. Traffic signal hasn't been working properly for many months. Loop sensor for southbound S. High Street left turn arrow for left turn onto E. Moores Pike doesn't work so the signal cycles every few minutes to that left turn arrow regardless of whether or not there are any cars waiting. This then causes needless hold up of cars heading north on High Street and all traffic on Hillside/Moores Pike.

I have had to deal with multiple complaints by my neighbor about my horses complaints are found invalid animal control officers have stated they see no need to move forward kindly reminding me of important things that I'm already doing, but yet the same neighbor lets his dog run in the middle of my horse pen, I would like to move forward with harassment if these calls do not stop they are ridiculous they are wasting precious and important resources for animals that are in immediate danger and as I said the prior mayor that I have along with the two that I have now officers have stated they are healthy of course it's going to be a muddy mess we just had all that snow melt so he reminded me to keep on who care and putting them in a dry lot which I have they make bogus claims like the horse isn't getting in the barn what's the first horse now this one it's inadequate fencing but yet they have never stepped foot out of the fencing they are in three strand barbwire and equine electrical rope fence neither have left their confined pasture and I am just tired of the harassment these animals have been my therapy after two rounds of cancer treatment I just want to be left in peace and not continue dealing with these ridiculous calls when if anything their animal is the one roaming freely while they're not home because it's not secured properly but we have never made a single complaint we just run the dog back home

Five dogs came out of the back door at 1432 Winfield at 2:29 pm today (1/14/2026) and proceeded to run around the yard, barking steadily, until 3:15 at which time it was snowing and windy. They then all went on the deck where the largest dogs proceeded to climb on the back door for the next 45 minutes to get back into the house. No one ever came out to see what they were doing.

Last night for couple hours a dog was left outside in 11 degree windchill on a balcony in back of house. It was whining/crying nonstop. I’ve never felt so bad for an animal, it was quite bitter and windy. This dog is left outside there at times during crazy weather but this was the worst. I was hoping someone could stop by and educate them and tell them neighbors are upset for the dog.
