The Hopewell Plaza is haphazardly plowed. Half the sidewalks are clear, half aren’t. Some crosswalks are clear and some aren’t. For something that’s supposed to be the “great new area” in the city, we’re doing a poor job of maintaining it for winter use.
Water is cloudy to the point it looks gray a the longer you let it run it just gets worse. Is there an issue an I'm not comfortable drinking or cooking with the quality of water
Not a request, a question based on a neighborhood association listserv post. Is this true: "They never clear the streets on Saturday or Sunday." Also, what does the City use for road "salt?" Thanks !
The walk on W Kirkwood in front of the Hyatt Place hotel was not shoveled or treated throughout the last snow event. When I stopped in to enquire about this on Tuesday afternoon I was informed that it was a “city sidewalk” and the city’s responsibility.

Strong sewage smell in the street on and off on 4th street between Maple and Waldron. Comes and goes, but probably is not good. Worried about sewage backup into house main.

In accordance with Bloomington Municipal Code 6.07.010 (a), a property owner gets 24 hours after the snow or ice has ceased to fall or in any way accumulate to remove it before we can issue a violation. In the event of a violation, the neighborhood compliance officer will issue a Notice of Violation (NOV) to the property owners via first class mail and by placing a copy of the notice of violation on the property. No, that post about how "they" don't clear on Saturday and Sunday was talking about the CITY clearing ROADS (not residents shoveling sidewalks). I'm sorry that was not clear. I don't think it's correct, just an exaggeration, that "they" don't plow snow on weekends. Please confirm that the City plows on weekends. (I think you do, but i could not swear to it in court.) Barking dogs last night (12/16) at 1432 Winfield from 11:30 pm until midnight. Bloomington quiet hours -- 9 pm to 7am.

Snow and ice cover this corner on both streets. The snow stopped falling on Saturday and it’s Wednesday morning. Please do a better job of enforcing the ordinance. And please clear the alleys where they intersect with sidewalks. Sidewalks are part of our transportation system. Please treat them like streets. Thanks.
