We had a large truck hit and break a limb off the tree to the right of our driveway. This happened once before and you guys came out and took care of it. This is not an emergency and I have moved the limb out of the street. Thanks! Andy
Tree was marked to be cut down almost a year ago. Half knocked down in the storm last night. Please, please come cut it down. Its been a year!
My garbage can, which is used for weekly trash pickup, has been stolen. My recycling is still here, but my garbage can is just gone.
Trash and recycle containers placed out Wednesday evening. Looks like one or two items were removed from each container leaving both containers nearly full.
Re 1536 so Andrew Cir. 47401. #46187-002. We live at 1548 so Andrew Cir and own the adjoining lot which has a sprinkler system but no structures. It is undeveloped. Over the past three months we have been billed for a medium cart at $16.48 per month. We never ordered this cart and have been getting bounced from utilities to sanitation trying to resolve the issue. The city owes us $49.44 and we want this error removed from any future billing. We have a vendor scheduled to replace a retaining wall at the corner of 2nd and Grant that is failing and bowing out. We sent the engineering department some concerns that we want to share here as well. 1. The stop sign is currently located approximately one foot from the retaining wall. There is concern that the sign may become unstable or fall once the wall is removed. 2. Once the project is completed, the bank will be lowered, which may require adjustments to the placement or height of the stop sign. Please let me know how you would like to proceed or if additional coordination is needed to address these concerns.
Similar situation to case #207518. "The Bentley" apartment building on the SE corner of 11th/College has a very bright (and hideously colored) vertical sign right on the corner that is lit up all night long. Is there anything in the city code about illuminated signs? Are they even allowed at residential buildings? What if houses in neighborhoods had such signs broadly announcing the addresses of the houses while being lit up (or maybe even flashing) all night long? This is also an issue at "3-Square" apartments at 916 N. College where there are multiple signs, but they are not nearly as offensive as the others.
I've always thought that I needed to suggest that some sort of "barrier" needed to be put in the large bike lanes as I've seen multiple people attempting to drive or actually driving down them (and I've even had to make a last minute movement when I realized the lane wasn't for cars and I'm from Bloomington and do a ton of driving downtown). The location I noted might not be the exact spot of where I just saw someone doing this, but it's the bike lane all the way down seventh St. Thanks for the consideration and I look forward to seeing this simple improvement soon!!
