Rogers Street between 2nd & 3rd needs repaving!!! I drive this stretch to and from work daily, and it is in terrible condition. The street is also tight with the southbound traffic's left turn lane, so when heading north (and uphill) from the stoplight at 2nd and Rogers, you have no choice but to hit some very uneven surfaces and potholes. I've been driving this for years and it's never been reapired. It is damaging my vehicle!
A vehicle has been parked on the street where we live for over two weeks, with no attention given to it. It seems to be abandoned. The location is on West Cottage Grove Ave., on the north side of the street near the corner of Cottage Grove and Adams. 919 E. Hunter still has not cleared vegetation growing on western limestone wall from encroaching sidewalk. This is similar to complaint 203473. The vines grow on the wall and extend into the sidewalk right of way. They include poison ivy, which brushes pedestrians on sidewalk.
Black flakes in my water that leave a greasy residue. I last reported this issue on March 16, 2026. The issue is not consistent but seems to pop up randomly which makes it a threat as it is easy not to notice when I am potentially showering with it, washing with it, and even drinking it. Photo shows the black residue left after filling my bathtub with water only. Quarter for scale.
I have volunteered for the Adopt- A-Drain program for the past three years. My assigned drains are at the Rockport and W Pinehurst Dr and W Pinehurst Dr. and S Southern Pines Ct. I have been cleaning asphalt from the drains for quite some time. It seems to be getting worse. The chunks have been large and small. The streets have been deteriorating for some time now. The rabid deterioration is noticeable to the casual observer. I would appreciate if you would take a look at this area and perform your magic. Thank you very much for the work you do.
