We moved into a new house in Hidden Meadow in May of this year, and after 6 months we still do not have a street sign. Our address is 5274 N Filbert Drive, Bloomington, 47404, our street name is N Filbert Dr. This is a safety and liability concern, if emergency vehicles – fire, ambulance, or police had to find one of the houses on our street, they would be unable to, especially since our street still doesn’t show up on Google maps. The thought of something bad happening to a member my family or to me and knowing that help might not find us is very unsettling. We’ve waited for 6 months and still no sign. I'm not sure who to contact, and whether it is the city, the planning department, or the developer who is responsible for street signs, but I'm hoping you can help me figure out who I can contact - if it isn't your office. Thanks! Laura Wisley Cell (812)360-3842

A Dog Waste Station has tipped over onto a bicycle sidepath west of the Winslow Plaza parking lot.
Leaving Winslow Farms today at about 7:10 am and traveling toward Winslow Road, we saw a City pickup truck on the new multi-use path heading toward the high school. There was a jogger who obviously had to get off the path to allow him to pass. The truck was going at a relatively high rate of speed--probably as fast as the street speed limit. The street was not crowded, though it is being ground down and is bumpy. That sidewalk is often very busy--trucks have no business on that path at any time.
Graffiti spray painted on walking path south of intersection of Wylie Farm Rd and S Henderson St
Every school day around 2:30 PM to 2:50 PM, there is a line of traffic parked on each side of Wylie Farm Road, almost all the way to the intersection of Henderson. With cars parked on each side, it reduces the road to one usable lane. Several times each day (including today) traffic going in either direction will have to wait to allow cars through single file. On today’s occasion, I was halfway through the line of cars when a truck turned at the intersection and proceeded to frustratedly drive-through, forcing a near collision. Anyway, this has been going on for years and it’s surprising that there have not been accidents here. It is worth taking a look at because the parking seems unnecessary and done just as a convenience for parents picking up their kids from South high school.
During the school drop-off and pickup this intersection has a large amount of traffic. This is also the main corridor that people biking and walking use to get to to school and unfortunately is was not design to be compatible with both large amounts of student driver traffic, and walkers and bikers. This whole intersection as well as the path going into the school needs to be redone to promote more biking among the youth(including me). A well done biking friendly intersection and route into school would improve the safety for walkers and bikers as well as encourage more young students to walk and bike to school which would decrease the amount of traffic as well as the carbon emissions.
Please implement a 4-way stop at the intersection of S Henderson St. & E Graham Pl. / Graham Dr. because there are multiple neighborhoods which people come in and out of along these roads. It can be stressful to turn left from either of the Graham roads onto S Henderson St. Moreover, it can be a struggle to walk across the intersection without adequate protection in order to access the trail along Henderson or the Sports Complex nearby.
