One of the new street trees planted by the city after the completion of the new north extension of the Jackson Creek Trail last fall has unfortunately died, and should be replaced. It is sending up suckers at the base, but I don’t think a large shrubby plant is what was intended. Tree is near the property line of the house on High and the house on the corner facing Wimbleton. Dead deer lying on side of road on south High. Scavengers are beginning to pick at it.
New street tree not replaced: after the multi-use path was installed, a tree replacing a large locust was planted. That tree died almost immediately. This spring, someone from the city cut it off at the base, but did not replace it. I u-reported it last year as well and was informed then that the contractor which originally planted it would replace it sometime during last year. It’s no skin off my nose if it isn’t replaced, just rather disappointing. Thanks!
Dead deer between houses at 2003 and 2011 S High St. Animal was struck by a car and later euthanized by DNR today. Need it removed soon.

Pothole in northbound lane. Continue northbound and the right edge of the road is destroyed between Queen's Way and Arden.
East side of N High St. Growing pothole next to a brown mailbox in front of this house. It's down to the second layer of paving below. Trailers make loud boom noise when they hit it and the area is full of broken gravel destruction of the hole.
