Pothole at 3rd and N. Smith Rd. As you are turning right onto 3rd from Smith it's on 3rd. Deep enough to make a loud noise when driven into.
On Smith Rd. between Morningside Drive and the railroad overpass, there is lots of debris along the road, there were sandbags that were put out around the drains which have since then broken up and laying there probably preventing water from going down the drain. The weeds along the sidewalks on both sides need weedwhipped. It's very unsightly. Thanks.
On February 24 during a wind storm a tree, which stands near the power line between Arden Dr. and Queens Way, dangerously cracked. The workers from Duke Energy, who cut a big portion of the tree, understandably didn’t want it to fall on the power line. They did it in a such way that branches fell to our back yard and even damaged the fence. Duke doesn’t want to remove debris and repair the fence. Despite the tree stand on the land belonging to Duke (or town?) and the damage was not the act of nature, they claim that it is not their responsibility. Fix the bike routes we have! Placing patch over a patch over another patch might be good for cars, but it make biking dangerous. The stretch of Highland between the Y and Winslow are already very dangerous because of speeding cars and poor visibility around bends in road. Add poor road conditions and this makes biking very dangerous. Someone is going to get killed.
