Trash
Green Acres neighborhood
- Case Date:
- 8/29/2025
City should provide dumpsters in neighborhood for students during the month of August as they have excess trash. This is done in West Lafayette for Purdue students. Why not here?

Please consider adding scooter corrals in Green Acres. Suggestions for location - the traffic calming bump outs on 7th, the 4th street footpath, anyone of the several easements that are overgrown with invasives and border the roads.
Thank you to the city council for unanimously disapproving Ordinance 2024-18 – To Amend Title 8 of the Bloomington Municipal Code, Entitled “Historic Preservation and Protection” to Establish a Historic District – Re: Green Acres Conservation District (Green Acres Historic Designation Committee, Petitioner)
Nikole Smith update: I have reapplied to Perry Township trustee because of denial because of lack of communication from landlord. Also CAP has denied assistance. I have been referred to Trinity Episocopal Church for assistance and was told to contact them again in the morning. I have went to the courthouse to file a claim for lack of communication and negligence to compromise a conclusion for payment. I am currently unemployed but have a job offer but it is still in process for background check, and etc before monetary compensation. I do apologize for the inconveniences, and I am doing my best to resolve this matter.
The residents at 831 W 6th continue to park going the wrong way in front of the house. Two vehicles were parked facing east last night and they are still there this morning. One is an orange car and the other is a minivan with a Papa John's sign on top. 831 is a rental property.
Missing signal button for crosswalk
Buckled sidewalk. Over the weekend I sat with a friend on the bench in front of the library on Grant & Kirkwood for just a few minutes. In that amount of time, every second or third person walking by tripped on that sidewalk that is raised. There is very faded yellow paint but worn off now. Needs to be leveled. Someone will fall. A wheelchair could not go up.
Just watched one of the newly planted trees on Kirkwood lean and eventually fall over. Didn't see anyone messing with it, so I'm not sure what happened, but the new baby tree is now on the ground. Second tree from the corner of Kirkwood/Grant, on the north side of Kirkwood.
'Junk removal' temporary sign in the grass. Maybe in the ROW.
Hedges are preventing people from standing safely at the bus stop. Additionally, they are impeding line of sight and causing vehicles to pull into Graham to see east traveling traffic. Wall, is collapsing into the easement and preventing people from street parking.
