Debris Removal (Sand, General Street Debris)

1200 E Hillside DR

Case Date:
8/13/2025

Since the construction was completed to add the pedestrian crossing at E Hillside and S Olive, there has been a pile of gravel still sitting in the corner of the intersection that has now spread out and covering the whole street corner. Each time it rains, more gravel and sand are washed into the storm drain. Can this please be cleaned up? If you are on your bike, it's a gravel patch and you slide or skid making it sketchy. If you're walking and it's rained, it sticks to your shoes and is a mess. There's lovely new asphalt under there so it would be nice to use it. Thank you!

Wildlife Conflict

1330 E Allendale CT

Case Date:
7/30/2025

Neighbor at this address has been putting out a large table of dried corn for the deer population. Every morning and evening 4-12 deer will be present. Taking the trash out a young buck became confrontational and almost charged me. I wish they would move this to their backyard or stop completely. There are many young children on the street and I do not want them to have an unsafe interaction. Thank you

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report an ongoing issue with a neighboring property located at 111 W Southern Dr. The resident, Ashley, owns three dogs. One of them, a dog named Ruby, consistently exhibits aggressive and disruptive behavior that has significantly impacted our quality of life. Ruby barks incessantly, often for prolonged periods, particularly when we are outside on our front porch or tending to our garden. Despite multiple opportunities to address the situation, Ashley has made it clear that she does not consider the barking a problem, stating that because it does not bother her, it should not bother anyone else. This dismissive attitude has left us with no reasonable resolution and has effectively driven me away from gardening—a once peaceful and restorative activity for me. In addition to the constant barking, Ruby regularly escapes into our yard, approaching us with hackles raised, barking and snarling aggressively. This behavior is alarming and feels threatening, especially when we are simply trying to enjoy our own property. When anyone walks by the house, even with Ashley present, Ruby behaves similarly, charging at pedestrians and displaying aggressive posturing. I am aware of at least one incident in which Ruby’s behavior caused such fear that she was sprayed with mace. Despite repeated concerns from neighbors, Ashley continues to disregard the issue. She claims the dogs are "working dogs" and that their behavior is normal for the breed. However, they are not being worked, socialized, or exercised in any meaningful way. They are rarely seen off the porch or in environments like dog parks where they might interact with other dogs or people. Given that Switchyard Park is essentially our front yard and a public, family-friendly space, this level of negligence is particularly troubling. I regret not filing this report sooner. I have been patient for years in hopes that the situation would improve, but the lack of responsibility and disregard for the safety and comfort of others has reached a point where formal action is necessary. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Sincerely, Pauline Ortiz y Pino 1605 S College Ave Bloomington, IN 47403 949-439-8203 [email protected]
