fence is falling down because of overgrown trees
Water coming up beside street.
Driving westbound on Hillside at 9pm approaching Henderson, light was red. Stopped at light for 30 seconds and it cycled red for Henderson. East bound Hillside then turned green including the left turn arrow even though there were no cars at the light going east. I sat with three other cars going westbound for another minute while the eastbound light stayed green for no cars.
The Sycamore Knolls area tennis courts (off Hillside) is overgrown with weeds, both along the fence and on the court itself. Seems like the courts are not being kept up.
I am the maintenance manager for the The Quarters here at 1521 Isaac Dr. When you are on the property, specifically on Westplex Ave, starting at west 3rd street and spanning all the way to W Milieu Dr, there is an abandoned construction project in the easement that has open holes in the earth that are dangerous to the public and is at this point damage to the grounds and has been an eyesore to the property for months. My concern is primarily safety, as anybody that inadvertently steps into these openings will no doubt suffer injury, but also the ongoing, unfinished work that some contractor was permitted to start and as of yet not returned to complete.
I live on the Waterman section of W. 8th Street. A few years ago, before the city repaved our road, there were yellow center lines and also marked roadside parking spaces. When will the city repaint those lines? It has been a few years already. We have an issue of people speeding on our road, which they do by driving down the center of it regardless of oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and bicyclists. I think the speeding was less of an issue back when the road lines were painted because those lines prevented people from driving down the middle of the road like they do now. I think repainting the center lines and the parking spot lines, we could actually solve the speeding problem.
