poison ivy growing into sidewalk
On April 29, 2018 I was turning onto 3rd street off of Jackson where I struck a curb in the middle of the road. There is a street sign at the corner warning you of a speed hump but not that there is a huge curb holding dirt and literally in the road. It CUT my tire and damaged my rim. Not sure how or where to file this complaint, but hopeful the city will accept responsibility. I was told by 3 different residents at the time I hit it that less than 24 hours prior another lady had hit it also with damage. And that a city police officer 2 weeks ago had hit it as well. I work for a ride share company and am now out of commission until I can get this in for repairs. you can contact me @ 8129299231 or [email protected]
Storm sewer inlet gets blocked and backs up frequently
The pedestrian signals at 10th and Fee were not in sync with the voice commands at approximately 11:15 this morning. I am not sure if this is an issue that has happened more than once, but I am concerned for any negative consequences for people who have visual impairments that can prevent them from knowing when to cross without accurate voice signals. The command said it was okay to cross about 45 seconds before the light changed while several cars were westbound on 10th.
Honestly, the entirety of the near north side from Dunn Meadow to 12th street and so is just COVERED in trash. Some yards are worse than others. In my years living here I'm not sure I've seen it so bad for so long. There are a lot of properties that could be cited. You could start with the house at the SW corner of Indiana and 7th and just fan out from there. It is embarrassing to the city, not to mention the university, as we are getting into high school junior visiting season.
